Codeine/Acetaminophen pills - dosages

SWIM was lucky enough to get 20 50mg Codeine/300mg Acetaminophen pills, how much would be enough to get a nice high? SWIM have already a little tolerance to opioids from lots of Tramadol; also, how much is the maximum safe dose of Acetaminophen before a CWE is needed?

Wel, that depends on a number of things, most imortantly, your size. Swim weighs 70kg and wouldn't consider taking any more than 1500mg of Acetaminophen at once. That's probably being a little over-conservative, but he has some friends who are doctors and they really, really strongly recommend against any more than that.

im 80kg; that would be 250mg codeine/1500mg paracetamol, is this enough to get a high?

250mg of codeine - without a tolerance - would knock most people out cold and be concerning due to respiratory depression.

The strongest dose suggested is 1,000mg of acetaminophen. So an OCCASIONAL dose of 1,500mg won't likely hurt one, as long as they don't have liver or kidney disease and have been warned by a doctor to steer clear of such. Just remember the maximum dose, per day, is 4,000mg. And that is for short-term use. Many people mistakenly think that because it's OTC, acetaminophen if a harmless substance. It's not and should only be used when truly called for.

I know this is an aside, but the same goes for Diclofenac, Ibuprofen, Aspirin and other OTC painkillers. Not to mention everything else.... It all gets to you in the end!

It's always much safer and much less confusing to perform an extraction wherever possible or (if not possible) to abstain from the use of said pills until an extraction can be carried out.

Sorry to echo you, Nag, but it is something that the general population of otc-using-bored-teenagers (of which strata I am a member!) should be frequently reminded of.

Thanks, SWIM will probably try 150mg Codeine/1000mg Acetaminophen without CWE first. Oh, btw, Codeine its not an OTC drug in SWIM's country, its list 2 scheduled drug (Oxycodone being list 1)
