Question about pipe

SWIM attempted to make a test tube pipe using only a bic pen, but this was not successful. When SWIM draws on the pipe, he is not able to get much smoke. If he takes a hit, then exhales, no smoke will be visible coming out of his mouth. This is probably because the end of the hollowed out pen does not reach far enough into the test tube. SWIM needs something that can be inserted towards the bottom of the pipe. Can SWIY think of something readily available that would be ideal for this purpose?

SWIY would be better of getting decent basepipe/vaporizing pipe from a headshop or the net. Doesn't cost much and saves SWIY lots of trouble.

i have heard from a SWIM that the pipes are called "oil pipes". does that make any sense? due to meth and crack problem in N.A, asking for a "meth pipe" will get strange looks. best to ask for a oil pipe or ? most head shops here would not know what a freebasing pipe is. not too sure anyway

Yes, call them "oil pipes" or "oil burners." Bear in mind that, at least in California, these are legal (though quite suspiscious) up until the very second a flame hits it. There should be a smoke shop in everytown that sells them.

thanks that's the term i was looking for..oil burners. ya, it's best to use the most innocent sounding term, otherwize the head shop guy could get a bit freaked. and all tho they are legal, it seems that the po/gov't like to shut down innocent ppl selling glass pieces. it's not fair and a waste of taxpayers money IMHO

SWIM constructed an easy and effective pipe that works great for DMT and should work for any other freebase. He took 10'' of copper tubing and stuck it through a bottle cap, put another hole in the cap to help the draw, then sealed the cap on to the test tube with plastic tape. The tube extended near the bottom, but not near enough that melted DMT would get on it. That's all. It draws the smoke very well.

SWIM is going to put a hole through a cork in the near future, so he doesn't have to bother taking tape on and off.

Has anyone tried using a light bulb? You can put a hole in the top and pull out the filament, use a clear bulb and then you can vaporize DMT. Would this work?

SWIM thinks it would and SWIY could use a hollow pen because a bulb is much more shallow than SWIM's large test tube. SWIY would just have to be careful that the pen isn't exposed to too much heat. Any hardware store will sell copper tubing anyway.

The thing about a bulb is it takes some skill to prepare it. SWIM originally tried a bulb, but it cracked because the internal parts were actually part of the glass. How easy it is probably depends on the type of bulb.

SWIM usually just smokes his DMT through a regular freebase pipe with tremendous results. SWIM thinks the real art work is in the person operating the fire source.

SWIM is interested in vaporizing DMT. But he also has heard that DMT needs to be inhaled quickly because of it low boiling point... Basically, SWIM heard that if you were to Volcano some DMT it wouldn't work because the DMT smoke would cool too much to be a vapor at all anymore. Is there a way to smoke DMT via a Volcano vaporizer or other vaporizing means?

IV'ing DMT is a legitament route of administartion with this chemical ,the problem is that you have to have the HCL salt and NOT the freebase that is smoked. All DMT scientific research has been done with IV the drug. Converting it to a salt is pretty simple, just react it with hydrochloric acid (sulfuric acid might also work to get the sulphate form, but personall ynever heard of that form) you would of course need the proper ratios figured out and then have to seperate the DMT HCL form the excess acid/water.I would use a micron filter (.2micron) to be safe, also it might hit you so quick you don't have a chance to pull the needle out

Is there a detailed how-to on that process, SWIboti420? SWIM is extremely interested in IVing this drug. SWIM has a little less than a gram left... He'd like to just convert a small amount to give it a try. Would this be possible?

yeah there are detailed methods on how to do this. I'll try to dig some up if i have some time later today or tomorrow and will post it if i find it. IV is supposed to be a little different than smoking, it takes 30sec to kick in whereas smoking the DMT reaches the brain in 7sec, insignificant difference really. Second is users report that the effect isn't as "mystical" when IV'd. At least thats what i've read in DMT: The spirit Molecule. Great read i recommend that, all subjects were administered DMT through IV. LAter.

SWIM remembers reading the same thing in the book... SWIM is gonna toke a huge rip of DMT in about ten minutes... The freebase pipe is running pretty strong over in this direction...

Light bulbs are thin and crack easily from physical shock. They are probably not made well enough to be heated to high temps in one small spot.

However, in that same general concept, a 100mL or 200mL Erlenmeyer borosilicate flask should do nicely. It's cheap, common glassware. It stands heating very well. It has a flat bottom so that it can be set down quickly without rolling all over the place. A small carb hole, 5 or 10mm in diameter, could be drilled in the base, about halfway between the center and the edge. The substance would be placed inside the flask at the edge, closer to the carb. If desired, the sharp edges could be polished with a MAPPgas torch (which could also be used as a vaporizing heat source). Because it's a significant mass of glass, it would not get too hot quickly, and would hold the heat longer, so the flame would not need to be repeatedly applied.

This isn't from practical experience but it seems like a pretty good theory.
