Hawaiian baby woodrose Husk Residue Question
Swim purchased some HBW today and is wondering if the seeds havew to be pure brown or is the residue that remains after he removes the husk safe to consume.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: HBW Husk Residue Question
Swiy should scrape off the soft brownish outside layer with an x-acto knife or something akin to that. He can then either crush up the seeds and consume, or better yet, do a simple cold water extraction (distilled water, not from the tap!) with crushed seeds and consume after.
Nausea is greatly reduced by removing the outside husk, and even further diminished if an extraction of some sort is performed. |

Re: HBW Husk Residue Question
The soft browinsh layer being the shell of the seed itself?

Re: HBW Husk Residue Question
Thats correct. Thats the nasty nausea causing part. Swiy doesn't want it.

Re: HBW Husk Residue Question
Ah. So, what colour should the seed be prior to Siwm's ingestion?

Re: HBW Husk Residue Question
It can vary, but swim remembers it as greenish somewhat. Its been a little while though so he can't say for sure. Swiy should be able to tell once he has scraped off all the husk as the surface will be hard and will get scratched rather than scraped off.
