Benzedrex compared to tramadol
So after reading up on the benzedrex threads earlier and having taken his first amphetamine the other day, swim got very interested. Swim has always been a downer kind of guy because he likes to chill and watch movies a lot. He barely took any Adderall the other days because he planned on mixing other stuff. He ended up taking 50mg tramadol, about 4mg Adderall, 600mg gabapentin, and a little bit of yohimbe after awhile since he wasn't getting much energy from such a low dose of the amphetamines. He had two classes and they were just great, all the other pharms always make swim pretty talkative so together he was very talkative in class and it was great. Amphetamines are definitely something he does not want to take very much though.
Finally to the point. He ate a benzedrex stick a couple hours ago and he's feeling a little bit of energy and almost some euphoria. Suddenly it hit him! This is just like tramadol!! Does anyone else get this? Now he's thinking about one of these sticks with either tramadol, or gabapentin or both. Because both of those give him like an uplifting mood not really euphoria. The three combined and swim may have found the perfect thing for him. Also has anyone tried any of these combos? |

Re: Benzedrex compared to tramadol
Tramadol strikes SWIM as a limp mix of effects, sort of "jack of all trades, master of none" type of thing. Weak stimulation, weak opiate effects, weak serotonergic effects, ISO all adding up less than the sum of its parts.
But in case SWIY couldn't tell, SWIM doesn't care for Tramadol at all...

Re: Benzedrex compared to tramadol
SWIM has never been a Tramadol fan. Not really a propylhex fan either...

Re: Benzedrex compared to tramadol
Swim enjoys tramadol quite a bit. I guess he's one of those lucky ones who gets nice effects off it.
As for propylhexedrine.... Its ok swim guesses. Some not too bad euphoria, though swim generally has done it when he was staying up all night so the lack of stimulation was a bit annoying in many cases. He wouldn't really use it recreationally or for any other reason than a substitute for another stimulant to help him stay up for a while. Tramadol is much, much better in swim's opinion. To each their own. Swim doesn't see much of a connection at all between the two substances if you ask him though. |

Re: Benzedrex compared to tramadol
Yeah, there isn't much connection between these two things. SWISven has enough Adderall and whatever else to prevent him from resorting to propylhexedrine which is IMO nothing special. Tramadol doesn't really get SWISven where he'd like unless he really takes a bunch

Re: Benzedrex compared to tramadol
SWIM's favourite combo is 1200-1600 mg gabapentin + 20-40 mg methylphenidate. This combo results in great euphoria and disinhibition. Gabapentin on its own has little effect on SWIM, but when combined with ritalin and a little alcohol it's a whole different experience.
SWIM likes tramadol and thinks it's a great anxiety killer more than a pain killer. I think doctors should think seriusly to prescribe it for depression and SAD. SWIM is experienced with ssri's and tramadol is far better that anyone of them relieving symtoms of social anxiety. SWIM would like to add that he's never combined tramadol with other drugs. |

Re: Benzedrex compared to tramadol
Would SWIY say that the gabapentin and methylphenidate combination also work for amphetamine? SWISven is interested in this, and will hopefully be posting an experience report soon.

Quote:
One of the things about methylphenidate is that there is no much difference in intensity of effects from 20 mg to 40 mg, the only difference being that 40 mg dose last longer. This is not the case of amphetamine in SWIM experience. |
