can i make my own heroin?

if i were to by poppy seeds from home depot or walmart or something would i be able to grow them and make my own heroin? if i can how do i make the plant into heroin? do you grind the bud up or what? i need answers quick please!

First thing you have to do is slow down. Getting quick answers isn't going to help. If your lucky the seeds you buy from Walmart, Home Depot, etc., will have enough opium content to make it worth it. Papaver somniferum is the strain of poppies that you need. You have to plant the seeds, wait for them to grow. The average yield per pod is 80 milligrams. In order for you to get enough opium from the poppies you would need to plant at least a half acre which would produce about
60,000 to 120,000 poppy plants, with a range of 120,000 to 275,000 opium-producing pods. This is when you have the ideal growing conditions.

Then you go through the long process of extractions and purification which I'm not going to go through. Just search the web and you can get all the information you need.

i have a friend and he's a farmer,i told him i've got some papaver somniferum seeds and that you can harvest opium from it.
He liked the idea and he's willing to plant some for me.
Now he has a lot of space and i have alot of seeds,but whe would like to start out small so how much plants or poppies wil we need to harvest for about 10 doses of opium.And how much square metres will my friend need to use?
also i have a lab in my possesion(i'm a chemist) and the chems are easy to get for me.So i was thinking to purify the opium to morphine and then converting it to heroin(only as an experiment).So how much plants/poppies will we need te plant to make say 1gram of pure heroin HCl?or how much plants/poppies will we need te plant to make 1gram morphine HCl?

125-250 plants (depending on pod size and varietyetc).

As BA also stated you'll get about 80mg (80-100mg)of Opium from each pod. Opium contains roughly 10% Morphine by weight.

A quick breakdown of, as I understand, the 4 grades of heroin:

No. 1: Aka "black tar" heroin, such as the type produced in
Mexico and occasionally parts of eastern Europe like Poland. The
raw opium is dissolved in water and filtered to get rid of any
insolubles, and then reacted with acetic anhydride. All alkaloids
and other components of the opium are reacted with the acetic anhydride
along with the morphine, thus several side-products are created
alongside the diacetylmorphine. Looks much like raw opium, but
shiner/harder and with a vineger or pickle-ish odour.

No 2: Aka "brown sugar" or sometimes "brownstone" (brownstone
also sometimes refers to cocaine). The opium in solution is
purified a bit to eliminate things like essential oil components and
terpenes, etc., and possibly some of the codeine as well is eliminated
to create a crude morphine/codeine base. This is acetylated to
produce a chunky powder that is brownish in appearance. This is
the higher-end Mexican heroin or lower-end Colombian heroin.

No. 3: Slang names unknown. The opium is purified through
altering pH and using selective solvents such as chloroform to
eliminate everything but the morphine. The morphine base is then
acetylated in the same fashion as No. 2 is, only this product is
largely free from acetyl-codeine and results in a fine power that is
light brown to off-white. This is the good Colombian heroin, and
lower-end product from the Golden Triangle and Golden Crescent
(Thailand, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Laos, Burma, Bangladesh, Pakistan,
etc.). It is found in the east coast of the US, and large African, Asian, Middle Eastern, and
some European cities.

No 4: Aka "China White", so long as this term is not is in reference to
a synthetic opioid such as fentanyl. The morphine base is
thoroughly purified, acetylated, and then the heroin base is
more-or-less recrystallized or otherwise purified through something
like an acid-base isolation to create a very pure fine white powder
with a purity of 98%+. This is the best heroin on the black
market, and is almost pharmaceutical grade if uncut. When
dissolved in water for injection, it "cooks up" clear, whereas the
other grades of heroin dissolve into a slightly brownish-tinted liquid
(#2 & #3) to a thick black syrupy fluid (#1). This is the
best product found in places like the eastern US (Baltimore and
sometimes NYC), UK (Scotland and port areas), western Europe including
Holland, Australia, Canada (Vancouver and elsewhere) and some large
Asian cities such as Bangkok and possibly Hong Kong.

All this may seem a bit off topic, but it does gives some
impression of both the process involved in producing heroin, as well as
the diverse geographic regions in which opium poppies are grown.

Also, get the book "Hydroponic Heroin" (author?) to learn all
about growing your own opium, refining it, and acetylating the morphine
base into diacetylmorphine (heroin). It can be found through
Loompanics Unltd. or FS books, or possibly Amazon.com.

Hypothetically, how many poppies would you need to have a nice little opium experience for 2 people? What processes would be involved? Can you just use the raw opium tar from the seed pod, or is that really bad for you or something?

Its hard to tell how many pods you would need. Generally 2 gr. of Opium are an overdose for someone without tolerance. you might need 0.5 to 1 gr. for each person. For that you can use the sap from the lanced pods. to get 1 gr. you need 20+ pods i think. So 40 for you both.


Its easier and cheaper to grind the pods (doesnt matter if theyre dried or fresh) as fine as possible. And then see the tea procedure in the opiate section. I would drink that. Of course you can evaporate the liquide off and eat, but thats not the foirst choice. The product isnt smokanble though, too many fats and proteins and plantmaterial left.


For a smokable product you would have to do the iceolation or the opium extraction or clean it with heated paraffin (you find those procedures in the same category).


This wont be injectable! Only smokable.

I thought you could smoke the tar after it dries? Don't you still get all the opiodes?

I never had any positive effects from the putty, although it contains most of the goodies. I can just imagine that it is because of the fats and stuff.


You can try it, but from my experience it doesnt have an effect.

The tar that comes out of the slits in the live pods can be smoked, but it is pretty easy to take that and make "cooked" opium. Cooked opium is a first refining process that the raw goes through and that is what most of asia smokes when they do smoke opium. I believe the cooking process is in here, do a search and look it up. The putty from fresh pods grinded up can't be smoked.Peace.

"Cooked" opium, is simply opiumdissolved in hot water, filtered, then the water/opium is heated to drive off the water.
