Drinking on Naltrexone?
I understand it is an opioid antagonist and helps curve cravings of alcohol. Does one get sick when they drink on this? Does it effect the actual amount of alcohol consumed when drinking , such as drinking less than usual? Can this be a pill for a problem drinker to become a non-problem drinker, say continue drinking with out the alcoholic symptoms? I understand it can be fatal for heroin addicts if they relapse while taking this.
edit: I did a search on this and found it in relation to heroin mostly, the alcohol stuff I found was just that it reduces cravings. Last edited by wellhelm; 31-03-2007 at 22:32. |
