SWIM thinks it's about time for a break.
SWIM has been using Opiates almost every weekend (only on Saturday) for quite a while now, possibly approaching two years (and on and off before this, but never as regimented). It has become what he looks forward to all week long. SWIM thought that since he only used them once a week, this should shield him from a tolerance, but apparently this is not so. SWIM believes it is about time for a break. It has also occured to SWIM that it could be that smaller doses are just less thrilling to him these days, or a tiny bit of tolerance has been adding on each week, these past many weeks. SWIM wouldn't say that he has to take an extreme amount to feel good, but he now recalls the beginning days fondly. It began when he would take one, just one 5/500 hydrocodone and be perferctly content. He then began to notice that if another was taken once he could feel the first one, it was all the much better. Three then became the standard, spaced over almost a three hour period, and SWIM fondly recalls the first time that he ingested four over a four hour period, and was dumbfounded by the pleasure it brought him. The weeks passed on and 30 milligrams became the standard. This lasted for quite a while, and SWIM would usually end up nodding when the last pill had finally took hold (SWIM finds that it takes about one hour for the unbroken generic hydrocodones to take effect). SWIM then obtained a large amount of 80mg Oxycodones. He would cut them in two, powder one of the halves, and place it in 3-4 gel caps, thus making 40mg the new standard (Oxycodone is said to be a bit stronger than Hydrocodone, so adjust this value as you see fit). Needless to say, he was quite blown away that first weekend. This continued until unfortunately, he was unable to get anymore of these wonderful and very inexpensive, tiny green godsends. He was then able to very cost effectivly obtain 120 milligram Morphine capsules (Avinza), whose time release pellets must be pulverized beforehand. SWIM finds it necessary to disclose the fact that insufflating this powder was almost unbearably painful for a reason unknown to him, although it can be seen that there is a somewhat shiny almost glasslike appearance to portions of the powder. SWIM never took much of a liking to the Morphine, while they did the job effectively, the feeling was much more sickly, although the nodding was intense, and the itching along with it. Slowly Hydrocodone one again became SWIM's refuge, and 50 milligrams was and is now to this day the new standard.
All Opiates alike have been a refuge for SWIM, a shining escape from his day to day reality, when respected for what they are and the power that they hold. Some may say, "Why is this a problem at all? 50 milligrams once a week is hardly anything at all." While SWIM does agree that it is quite affordable and hardly a burden, SWIM still can recall the days when he could take nothing but a lowly five milligrams and be perfectly content with the world, and he desperately wishes to be in that place once again. He finds that with any substance, whatever it may be, there is always a time of innocence. A time fueled by our eagerness and overall inexperience which ushers in feelings that to us now, are indescribable. With that being said, SWIM fears that he may never again reach that place on this or any break, no matter how long he waits.
