IMHO the iceheads in this clip are exhaling LARGE and very WHITE clouds of smoke. Is this really meth? Is the meth cut with something? Are they just out of work actors for a propaganda machine? Doesn't one usually hold in one's hit longer?

when swim was smoking meth, the bigger the cloud, the better the hit. also, swims friend and only meth partner, who is much more experienced than him, says that holding it in long either does nothing, or is bad. white smoke? yes.

but the reference to smoke suggests strongly to me that they are, in fact, smoking crysal meth.

It's called a "hot rail". I've never done it personally, but from what I understand you heat up the end of the tube so that when you snort it, the meth is vaporized before it hits your nose.

It's basically just smoking through your nose, instead of your mouth.

OMG!! Yup that was defenalty meth!! Put chills down my spine, as swim no longer uses meth and hasnt for some time now. But seeing that brings back memories...

Yes that is doing a hot rail. Using a glass tube, you heat the end to red hot. As you attempt to snort the line it vaporizes the meth and you blow out one hell-of-a cloud of smoke.

Mostly around these parts of the country peeps just smoke it in a glass bowl heated gently with a torch or snorted. SWIM can't snort any due to his lack of nasal cavities due to way too much snorting too much coke in the late 80s to early 90s.
