Huge scam.no flames please.Yes we're not a stupid bunch, but it's worth a mention.
First off I know this is a bit unorthadox this day and age, as everything through email is a scam. But this one is very intricate. For the reason that some websites wether you know it or not, can enter your email into a draw. Now all the scammers have to do is connect themselves to the british lottery corp, start sendin emails like this :
REF NO: BLP/ 24-FB-426253
BATCH: 42/450002/YLP
We are pleased to inform you of 12TH-MAR-2007 BRITISH LOTTERY6/49
LOTTERY draw.Your e-mail address attached to e-Number
644701836872,with serial number 64483-72 drew the lucky Winning
Numbers 061840434749 and consequently won the lottery in the 2nd
category.
So many people will think it's legit because your email MAY have actually have been entered, making the possibilty of winning feasible. Especially the loads of people doing those online surveys for cash. having your email entered in those sorts of things as a prize. I'm not sayin you or anyone else is a sucker, im just letting peeps know how they are getting everyone. Just have to let your guard down a lil... and even if never bitten, sometimes one thinks, what if...
I know everyone has a fairly good grip on what is garbage mail and what isn't. The fact that this scam has gotten more people then probably all the other little ones combined is why I posted it... just as a heads up... pass it on, especially if you know someone who is a lotto 6/49 addict. I know quite a few. Tell them it's simply as mirage.
Sorry if anyone for some reason feels their intelligence or lack there of is put into question... I know most people aren't stupid enough to fall for it, but like I said.. wait what did I say again?
