MDMA and Gabapentin

SWIM recently took some MDMA(tested to confirm presence of MDMA and some people had the same pills who had done MDMA before and said it was working fince). This was SWIMs first experience with MDMA and well nothing happened. He felt like he almost got something a few times but then nada. He thinks Gabapentin is to blame, but isn't sure why it would cause a problem(SWIM swears he remembers reading an interview with Shulgin where he said Gabapentin had a similar effect on GABA as MDMA but now he can't find it for the life of him). Prior to this swim had consumed Methylone and Lyrica(which SWIM thought was very closely related to Gabapentin) and that caused no problems. SWIM has little to no reason to believe anything else could have been the culprit as he had been taking those things(vitamins and such) when taking Methylone which always worked like a charm.
