Through SWIK's experiance 4mg of dilaudid is nowhere near enough. Most of the pill is talc (Crap). And the bioavailability is very low on hydromorphone when snorted.One needs atleast 8mg to feel anything unless injected. Then SWIK would start at about 6mg. Rectal administration would also be better than snorting or oral. This way your body takes more of the drug in. One day SWIK and couple buddies(3 people total) split a half bottle of M4's (15). They were high as rockets. But they are better opiates IMHO. Be carefull with that one though it's a very strong opiate and will sneak up on ya. So best advice start with a little bit and see what that does.

I've taken them orally for pain manangment and they are a waste. Only get 30% into your system, most people inject them or rectal then you get 80% of the available opiates.
Be careful IV'ing them, its what John Belusi and other famous people died from doing speedball's.

4mg of it through an IV is a decent amount perhaps. SWIM has a high tolerance to opiates. When SWIM goes to the ER with a chrons flare it takes about 3mg of hydro to make the pain go away. Where as it used to take almost 10mg of morphine to make the same pain subside.

I'm prescribed 8mg QID for chronic pain.
Some days they help; some days they don't

So technically they od'd from speedballing. Not IVing Dillys.

It is sad how so many ODs get blamed on one drug or another when in actuallity it was most likely a mixture of drugs topped off with booze.

not a lot...not a little i get dilaudid 4mg take 2 tabs twice dily for breakthruogh pain its help plus i m on m-eslon 100mg 2 twice daily and im pretty comfy

hydro are you on a long asting preparation?

2 fours is better that 1 eight

dilaudid have a very short half life

hence why they administer it up to every 4 hrs of the day!

Well, i also take 120 mg. OC in addition to 30mg of methadone as my long-acting meds. The Dilaudid is good at first, but in all actuality, it has no legs, damnit!!!!

fun SWIM started with 3mg insufflation went up to 6 for a few timse... 9 for a few... 12..then 15...just did 21 2 days ago and he woke up with the worst head ached and puked
