Question about codeine and alcohol

Swim heard once that some people take a couple of t3's and drop em in a beer and then chug it and it gives them an amazing high. Swim has never tried this and is curious if anyone has or knows anything about it. Swim has been taking t3s for many years for a mild day to day high to help her keep her energy up and not need to sleep or eat much. Tonight she feels like getting a super buzz and is wondering if she dropped a ground up t3 in a shot of liquor would it be anything special or just make her wanna ralph. Swim would love to hear if swiy has ever tried this and what it is like. Thanks!

Re: Question about codeine and alcohol

Droping the t3 into a drink will cause the drink to be pretty bitter. mixing alcohol with opiates does make the effects stronger, but mixing alcohol with tylanol is bad for swiy's liver.

if swiy wants to mix codeine with alcohal, consider doing a CWE (cold water extraction) and then taking the pure codeine and washing it down with a shot or glass of beer

Re: Question about codeine and alcohol

Thanks for the tip. Greatly appreciated. Considering the poisons swim has put in her liver with her harder drug choices lately, she isn't too concerned about her liver for one good buzz tonight.

Another question swim has. She noticed on some of the posts that swiy's mention sometimes redosing is pointless a couple hours after the first dose. Can someone explain this in a little more detail? How long before it is worth redosing? How much is pointless when redosing? Should swim take a larger dose when redosing? Swim didn't know about any of these little technical tricks so swim thinks she has wasted a lot of codeine over the years as sometimes swim redoses after only a short while like 30 mins to an hour.

Thanks!

Re: Question about codeine and alcohol

Swim says mixing alcohol and opiates of any kind is kinda risky due to the risk of respiratory depression. If you must do it, start with a lower dose of codeine than is usual for you. Swim finds that alcohol ruins codeine for him as it overpowers the subtlety of codeine.

As far as redosing goes; there is an enzyme in the liver that converts codeine to morphine. Apparently codeine inhibits this enzyme so in theory, the codeine that Swiy took half an hour ago stops the codeine that Swiy intends to take now from being converted into morphine. However, Swim does not believe that this stops all of the codeine from being converted, just some of it, so there's a good chance that you'll still get a noticible increase in your high after redosing. How does this compare to your personal experiences?

Re: Question about codeine and alcohol

As above ^

Low dose of Opiate (saaaay... 60mg for no tolerance) and take with maybe 2 or 3 shots of your favourite spirit (SWIM hates beer with opiates, he thinks it's the gas).

You're a LOT safer doing a CWE, as Codeine isn't half as bad on your liver as Acetaminophen (Tylenol as you all seem to call it).

Re: Question about codeine and alcohol

Swie gets a liquid that is about 13% codeine (13mg/ml) and 6.6% paracetamol (6.6mg/ml).
He usually make 3 or 5gr extractions and in order to preserve it he adds a sugary licor with 20º of alcohol, about 25% of its volume. That makes a syrup that has 9.75% codeine, 5.01% paracetamol and 6.6% of alcohol.
He finds that the alcohol/sugar in the licor increases absortion time greatly, and preserves the extraction quite some time.
He got a question: for every
250mgs codeine
the solution also have:
+128mgs paracetamol
+6.6º alcohol. (25mls)

Would this hurt his liver if taken daily?

Re: Question about codeine and alcohol

Combining alcohol and codeine is not recommendable. SWIM uses both but always separately. Respiratory depression and heart-rate problems are common side effects from mixing the two. In regards to why it isn't recommendable to re-dose codeine after the initial ingestion, codeine users develop a tolerance rather quickly. It's generally safer to wait four days or more before re-dosing codeine in order to avoid this tolerance.
