Package opened by FDA

Ah, swims package was intercepted by the FDA. they opened the package and slap a sticker on it with 5 options:

FDA Action:
A. refused - return to sender
B. refused - return to Post Marking Country
C referred to CBP/DEA
D. forward to Addressee
E. FDA reviewed the labels of the drugs contained within this package and concluded they are unapproved prescription medications since these pharmaceuticals are from a unapproved foreign source, we cannot guarantee their safety, dosage strength and purity however, under FDA Enforcement discretion we have permitted delivery of your unapproved Medications to You. Despite your unapproved prescription pharmaceuticals may be refused admisssion into the USA. For further information regardign FDA's Policy on teh importation of Foreign Source Pharmaceuticals website at http:www.fda.govimporteddurgs.

The inspecting officer selected D and swim got her package.

Which makes SWIM curious with the following questions: What was the general nature of SWIY's inspected package... was it a prescription pharmaceutical (if so, scheduled at any level, or not?), or an RC order?

I know after the Dems gained slight control last November, FDA announced they were reverting to their former (pre-Bush) more relaxed policy of generally allowing through up to 90-day prescripts through unmolested (whereas the Bush admin was attempting more aggressive import seizures, at the behest of the pharmaceutical industry).

P.O. boxes are not an intelligent option, unless you live in a country that doesn't require proof of ID to open up a P.O. box.

swim suggests that swiy stashes all illegal items that are at swiy's residence off his/her property for a while.swim would be so sketched out if that happened to him...your not paranoid if people are really are after you

most of those places are scams.they send you your picture printed on a normal peice of paper, and who is going to go to a judge and be like they didnt give me my fake id!!

swim had a q about this in a thread in a dream before. Why was it considered unapproved?

It was modifinal which is a schedule 4 drug. The package read Modvigil Modafinil tablets 200mg. However, swim protected herself and got a prescription written for the drug which she gave the local drug store and asked them to put it in their database and she would picked them up in a few weeks. So it was legit, but how did the inspector know swim had a prescription for the medication? Obviously there are some inspectors who are good souls and let people make their own decisions regarding their health care and the medications they
Plus it was expressed mail. All other packages swim receive are by regular mail with the exception of this one. That is what probably alerted them. Well, swim did have a prescripton for it so it was a legal importation. It was also 85% cheaper than here in the US. So if DEA came to swims house with package swim would have them call the pharmacy who had swim's prescription. He has also received another package from the same company after this incident which was not open and came by regular mail. However, these were not controlled substances.

Swim has never found an online pharmacy selling something like modafinil or phentermine, etc that didn't charge far far more than a local pharmacy would. Swim did spend a couple hundred on some phentermine pills once they had a slight speedy effect but I had to take almost 15 of them to feel anything so they were probably weakened from being expired or something

not sure where swiy purchased this from, but if its anywhere that also imports steroids steroids to the US, right now customs is very tight concerning that.

A screaming hobo on the street corner was telling a very similar story, he had ordered a rather large amout of modafinil powder, from some friendly little chinese men, he ordered it at the begining of his education, with the chunk of cash he had left after tuition, he got a very very good price. He was very excited as he had ordered enough to last him the school year. However, after ordering it, and paying, and tracking it online to the border, it just stayed there, for a long time, with no updates. Eventualy, the tracking dropped off the site, and the hobo was too paranoid to call, as the amout of drug was over the 3 month prescription drug import limmit. 5 months latter, a bag showed up at his door, and it was labeled as a product sample, and no other information was to be found, even inside the anvelope, not even a label on the plastic ziplock bag(the hobo had been emailed all the purity info and such). the plastic bag had been so opened and closed so often, the powder was caked in the ziper, and the bag was taped shut, as it no longer zipped. Almost two grams where missing.
That hobo probably gave at least one customs officer an ulcer, as he tried, for 5 months, every test known to man on this mystery white powder from china... heheh... I can only assume the tests where all inconclusive, and that the hobo was lucky... The hobo said he was almost tempted to try his luck again with a gram of desmopressin,if he mixes them himself, its very very cheap, but he wonders how many times he can push his luck. Hobos are silly people, as a responsible, productive member of society, I of course find such risks abhorant...
