Sex drive and Percocet

Swim has no friends or acquaintances who are knowledgeable about recreational drug use. So Swim has turned to this forum for info on this very personal topic. Swim has been using 30 to 40mg of Percoset a day for the past 2 years. Swim's partner has started complaining about Swim's lack of interest in sex. It isn't a matter of physical function but total lack of desire on Swim's part. Is this lack of desire a sort of chemical castration brought about by the drug? Or is it a psychological problem unrelated to Percs? Please give me your opinion based on your own experience. This is bothering Swim a lot and may cost Swim a good relationship.

I have been takin percocet since 92 until 2 yrs ago. They for sure will cause you to lose intrest however 30 to 40 mgs arent a lot, but if his first time with percs it probaly is causin it Good Luck

As a guy, opiates sometimes decrease sex drive or make it greater. But it's almost always impossible to get off...and she will have an awesome time, unless we're in the same boat. Opiates and sex kick ass if both people could always get off.

Try some sex and maybe it will spark things...or maybe you aren't attracted anymore?

Yes, SWIM's on 40 mg/day percocet, and, yes, interest in sex is down. I read in the leaflet that came with it that oxy lowers testosterone production in men, so desire is expected to be low, but it's normal. Get off the oxy, and you can get off again.

In swims opinions - HELL YEAH OPIATES KILL SEX DRIVE!!! swim fudged up a great relationship cause his better half just assumed that he wasnt digging her anymore. Now that swim is off the opies, WATCH OUT!! Your sex drive will come rolling back like a freight-train being driven by a lunatic!

swim doesnt lose interest, just abilty to get off, which in turn makes things messy with mrs. SWIM cuz she thinks she isn't good enough. If you aren't addicted to the percs, and you can get away without taking them... do, by all means.
