It would be nice if you write down your experience of your visit to a cannabis coffeeshop. How did you like the looks of the shop? Was it a cool place to chill? How was the service and the food? Which varieties of cannabis did you try? How did you like the cannabis, hashish or hashcookies? Please give your fellow drugtourists some advise on where to go and where not to go.Edited by: Alfa |

We visited a few whilst we were in Adam a few days ago. Siberie on Brouwersgracht was fantastic. The guy with the shaved head and goatee behind the counter knew his weed and was able to provide us withgreat advice. He also threw in a lighter and a pack of skins to assist us on our way. The Haze and Nepali dark hashwere great day smokes with the Jack Herrerand Super Polm for later on at night. Visited the shop three times during our stay and was always a good environment. Smooth music and great drinks. Frequented by locals most of the time so it's good to talk with them and get a real flavour of Amsterdam without the commercialism of some of the other shops. We also visted Araxas on Jonge Roelensteeg and enjoyed the vibe in there. It was busy and had an international crowd and the cakes were fantastic according to the accompanying non-smokers.. The upper level, the goblin's treehouse, can be a bit mad and the ground floor can get busy at times. Would recommend the 1st floor to chill and unwind... BTW. Have a look at www.frederic.nl for superb apartments to rent. We found it cheaper than a hotel and in the nicer part of Adam, the Jordaan. Huge living areas with sofas and your own place to ride the lightening... |

One of my favorite ones was Popeyes, we first went in there to try a
bit of their hash as recomended by a friend, its only a small place but it has a little room downstairs and one upstairs, they've got a few laptops to browse the web and its generally just a cool little place to relax (not if its busy though). The service was great and they guy was keen to give us some free weed because we spent a fair bit of money there (which went down very well with us) Also worth noting that the weed and hash are both great quality, theres a microscope on the counter and you can ask to view anything before purchasing, the recomendations made by the guy were great, he told us exactly what each strain was like and recomended some great stuff. prices were good, we found cheaper but then we also found a lot of places that liked to rip people off. They are also one of the few places that sold ice hash that we found, its not cheap (20 euro a gram!) but hell, we was on holiday so we tried some, it was very different to smoke that anything else, very easy on the throat and hardly any smoke, infact i was going to mention just after smoking it that it wasnt very strong but thats before i realised i had been staring at a wall for a good 15 minutes! (we bought another gram when we left!) Also, although we didnt try it, they sell what they call a "happy english breakfast" which is just a large fry up with your favorite green mixed in! got to be worth a try next time! |

I'm just back from Amsterdam tonight and I gotta say I enjoyed the trip vastly. I spent most of my time in a little coffeeshop named "Prix D'Ami" which is a little bit off Central Station.
It's a nice place. No bullshit. Everything is chopped and weighed right in front of you and although the menu isn't huge, I tried practically everything on it, and everything was solid. Prices are quite good even for a tourist spot. The best weeds they had were the classic "White Widow" and "Fisherman's Friend" but they also had some very fine hasj, particularly the skuff and the super polm. I tried some Nepalese hasj also which was absolutely mind-blowing. "Tornado" Morrocan hasj was especially good too. |
