Drug info - Benzodiazepines without prescription: Which Countries?

Swim was wondering what countries allow you to purchase benzos from a pharmacy without a prescription. Drugs like diazepam, oxazepam, clonazepam, etc.

From a practical standpoint, SWIM wonders why it really matters... it's not hard finding a doctor who'll prescribe benzos, at least in the USA. In the end, it works out being much cheaper and easier getting a legal prescription.

P.S. if the question was asked for curiosity's sake or for research, it's cool... SWIM's reply was just from the view of someone who might feel they need/want to acquire some.

In SWIM's experience it's very easy to buy benzos in Peru, although they are actually prescription medicines most pharmacies don't really mind selling them to just about anybody.

In Spain and Portugal i report the same. Except flunitrazepam you can get any benzo if asked nicely. Alltought they are prescription only medicines...

In the part of Spain SWIM lives, benzodiazepines are only sold with prescription, he is never been able to get them by asking nicely, though things like tramadol, codeine, gabapentin are sold with no questioning.

Benzos are considered psychotropic drugs, just like methylphenidate, these medicines have a circle half white half black, whereas codeine and other opites are only meds to be sold with prescription although they are not considered psychotropic (white circle) so they have little control and pharmacists sell it right away.

Morphine and other stronger opiates are considered narcotics and have a very much controlled prescription process

Somewhere on the PANAMA Border.... swim went in with a local native and went to a public doctor office. The RX was written out at 500 Colones... which is 1 dollar USD.
no Opaites other than tramadol will they perscribe.
The Dr will ask for a name and pull out his pad.

Simple as that.

Of course there is. The name of the drug you want. How much simpler could it be if you require diazepam or lorazepam just to ask for them? The names of drugs are international. It is only brand-names (usually in the USA) that differ. For instance, the drug clonazepam, which the entire world knows as brand-name Rivotril, is for some weird reason branded 'KLONOPIN' in the USA.
Just use the name of the actual drug, NOT a brand-name, and you should have no trouble making yourself understood.
FYI, brand-names of common benzos in India are: lorazepam - LARPOSE, alprazolam - ALPRAX, diazepam - VALIUM, and nitrazepam - NITRASUN. The best brand of clonazepam in India is Torrent's CLONOTRIL. DO NOT BUY any Indian made drug branded RIVOTRIL. You will be disappointed with the quality.

balkan countries. they won't give you tramadole without prescription, however you can buy a kilo of codeine and nobody asks why. same for benzos. SWIM bought 20 packages of 30x0.5 tabs of original xanax (together with apaurin, which is diazepam), and no questions either.

Most countries I know of have been covered here. Benzos are only Schedule IV here in the USA so it doesn't surprise me you can get them in other countries without a prescription. As far as I know the largest exporters of black market benzodiazepines to the USA are countries in the southern Asia subcontinent. Countries mentioned already include India and Pakistan. I know there are also some South American countries that don't schedule them.

As I mentioned earlier, there are a lot of countries that sell it OTC. SWIM has ordered from suppliers in these countries with no problems. This, of course, isn't legal, but it just goes to show how easily available benzodiazepines are in the international market because of so many countries that don't see them as a threat to consumers.

oh ok yeah ... well they still need a rx but after you swim visits about 5. The last one will budge because they want a sale for the week. Then Swim asked if he moved away to another city and goes to the same pharmacy franchise, Is it possible for the pharmacy transfer the rx. The question to them was "can swim call them and just phone over the rx slip. They denied and told swim to return to their specific pharmacy.

swim bought a pharmacy supply bottle of percodan in mex(manzanillo) for XXX us and took them home to canada. if he wasn't so good to his freinds he would have a new car. although it wasn't exactly otc it may as well have been. found a waiter at the resort whose father in-law was an md, told him that swim had a lot of pain and showed him an empty bottle for 30 tabs. XXX to the doc $ to fill it(seeing as the guy just took the bottle off the shelf and handed it to me. if you decide go ton pakistan or afghanistan(been there done that, shot at too much) it really doesn't matter what is legal because there are no laws that a couple hundred bucks can't fix.

That's odd. Percodan is a drug which is sold exclusively in the United States. Our friend may be right; Neo-Percodan is a compound consisting mainly of paracetamol, codeine, dextropropoxyphene and caffeine and has no oxycodone in it. Oxycodone would never be sold OTC in any country at all. Fact. If it WERE Percodan, the obverse would be imprinted simply 'EX', the code for oxycodone products sold in Mexico.

was it neo-percodan? If so then it was actually propoxyphene. SWIM has never really heard of anyone getting oxycodone often in mexico... actually SWIM can't even remember reading about a single believable report of this.

But you are quite right, neo-percodan contains no oxycodone at all.

as it hasn't been mentioned yet most pharmacies will sell you just about anything in cambodia, no questions asked, this of course includes benzos. SWIM recently attempted to aquire some diphenhydramine (for sleep purposes), instead the chirpy chap behind the till insisted this was a poor choice and presented SWIM with a whole galaxy of different benzos! as a side note, this practice is fucking dangerous, i'm sure there's a lot of people who inadvertedly get themselves a filthy habit in such liberal markets where people often have no ideas of the potential dangers of constant unguided use: a lorazepam leaflet SWIM inspected suggested a 4mg starting dose, and recommended that benzos should not be used for more than 12 weeks consecutively. worryingly poor advice.

I have information that Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Montenegro are relatively easy to buy a month's supply of benzos without a prescription. This comes from a friend recently returned from a Balkan tour. Hypnotics are more difficult than anxiolytics, and you will NOT be able to buy midazolam or flunitrazepm without script. Temazepam is practically unheard of in any of these countries. But if you are looking just for weakish minor tranquillisers such as diazepam, alprazolam, clonazepam or bromazepam there should be little problem.
