Drug that will help with the ladys

SWIM wants to know if there is a drug that can help him calm down when talking to a girl. Yeah, it's kinda sad to some, but SWIM knows there is people out there who do this. SWIM tried weed, but it just makes him paranoid. Alcohol is good but its a pain to consume and it gives SWIM hangovers .


Is there any mild drug thats not extremely dangerous that will chill SWIMs nerves and give SWIM the balls to talk....thanks.

I'd be inclined to seek out the psychological reasons for SWIM's fear in speaking with the opposite sex, rather than reaching for the pills. Low self-esteem perhaps? A negative body-image in the mind? I'd suggest starting there. Or SWIM could find himself with a nasty habit to break free of.

It's hard wired in my brain. I get panic attacks even when I'm talking to the same sex. I get so "nervous" I black out and can hardly talk. Maybe I'm exageratting, it's not that bad but still....

Telling oneself that such-and-such pattern of behavior is imutable (hard-wired) is about the worst way to approach it. This sets up what is known as a "self-fulfilling prophesy." Then finding a drug that breaks the pattern - temporarily - reinforces the pattern. And around the loop one goes.

Any drug-therapy for social anxiety needs to be a part, not the whole, of a greater scheme to work. Anyone who would just dole out a magic-pill is nothing more than a charlatan. Suggest to SWIM he talk with a good therapist. Or get him a puppy. And keep us posted.

SWIM thinks xtc's a good option, it'll make SWIY feel a bond, empathic, maybe it'll help to ease the anxiety.
Also it's easier to obtain than most other psychoactives.

I say hypnosis. Use a certain fruit-based file sharing application to find hypnosis audio books and burn them onto CD's or these new-fangled MP3 thingies and listen to them.

MDMA may work wonders, in the right situation/environment. Wouldn't want SWIY overtalkative, energised and experiencing jaw clenching in a situation where this would seems strange. MDMA has worked wonders for expressing oneself though.

BUT, it can also make SWIY feel uncertain, nervous, jumpy and surreal.

Ah yes, the nervousness of it all. I'd suggest just seeing a therapist about it. Just calm down. The only difference between them and us is a penis.

Xanax or GHB would probably be best. MDMA would be extremely effective, but as Alfa said, only in an appropriate situation(e.g. rave), otherwise you'd probably have to hide the fact that SWIY is on MDMA, and it would then be counter-productive.

Perhaps a small dose of ketamine or cocaine could help. Maybe even opiates. Ultimately though, it's all down to SWIY getting over his fears personally as has already been pointed out.

That level of anxiety deserves maybe talking to a doctor about. S/he may prescribe SSRI's - in which case, just say no, unless other signs of a moderate to severe depression are present (lack of appetite, lack of motivation, disturbed sleep patterns, etc); s/he may prescribe low dose Benzodiazepines (e.g. valium, xanax, lorazepam), in which case, use them very sparingly - the addiction potential is high, & coming off them once addicted & tolerance has risen is not only difficult, but potentially dangerous. SWIY should speak to the doc about non-medical interventions for overcoming anxiety, as has suggested - counselling (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for example), confidence-building techniques or groups, that sort of thing.

Another thing to consider is SWiY age. As Nag wisely points out, nothing is hard-wired, especially at SWiY age, although shyness can be debilitating & a hard one to see past. Confidence often comes with experience & is often something that is grown into. Shyness can be a sign of a sensitivity that many will later appreciate. Again try & avoid chemical routes to confidence (either medical or illicit).

Thanks for all the replies. SWIM does have anxiety, had OCD at a points and dealing with CSP now.

Marijuana worsend the situation so SWIM quit it about 6 months back.

SWIM doesn't want to go to the therapist. Does not trust SSRI's. I will try hypnosis thing and maybe order some Xanas or Vicodin later

Thats a pretty vague description of the situation...

-Does talking to the ladies make swiy start thumping on his chest and throwing chairs around? then he definetly needs some heavy calming down. Maybe a good shot of thorazine is in order.
-Does his mind start racing and he cannot collect his thoughts and starts bumbling like a buffoon? then either spend more time with the populous, or pop a couple xanax.


Or the easy solution. Let ego be taken over by lady C(ocaine) and swiy can be his overconfident self.

I don't know if making yourself superficially overconfident is the best way to improve your interactions with ladies...

As SWIM sees it, you should never turn to drugs as a cure-all, but consider their occasional use maybe limited to times when the situation brings unwanted and insurmountable anxiety for SWIY. Sorry to go off topic, but after advising on what drugs would work, SWIM re-read the post and agrees with Micklemouse - it's not hardwired mate. You're the same age as SWIM and SWIM has changed many of his faults through determination and admittedly a little hypnotherapy. ~Dark

The only drug swiy would recommend is alcohol. Have a few beers and take it easy....let the conversation flow....but dont drink too much or swiy may make start talking crap !!! lol. MDMA swim thinks is better to use around close friends and shouldnt really be used as a social drug in the sense that alcohol should. But here man....dont let women get ya stressed....if a chick doesnt dig ya then she's not worth the effort anyway. Live your life and have fun and dont let the opposite sex worry ya.....everyone's as insecure as everyone else sometime's....thats life. Therapy or hypnosis should be left as a later resort......go face swiy's fears head on is the best way to get over this. It may sound daunting now but swiy will soon realise that there is no reason to be afraid. Get out there and stop worrying and be yourself and you'll be fine hanging around with the ladies in no time at all.

Tramadol might help. It has SSRI qualities and therefore is an effective anti-depressant, whilst its opiate qualities give a mild sense of warmth and feeling content. Speaking personally, the mood-lifting effects of Tramadol also seem to make me more confident (I guess if you're feeling good about yourself then you can relax and not worry so much about how others perceive you). This may help with the opposite sex? I hope this is beneficial to you. Tramadol, I believe, are relatively harmless, although shouldn't be combined with other SSRI medicines.

St. John's wort - a herbal rememdy used for symptomatic treatment of anxiety and mild depression.

Codeine with few glasses of beer isn't bad idea. He is still completely in control and wont look drugged.

I do not believe much in this, but you guys could have a look at "Pick Up Artist" sites. Google for PUA, NLP, girls etc. You will find info. Reading a bit might alter his consciousness.

And on the other hand. He may let the girls come to him. A life that is all about chasing women is not a life. Tell him take salsa classes or something where he can be natural. He will dance with +20 chicks, all of them will smile and have a little chatter with him.
