Looking for gay men in London with experience of Crystal Meth

I’m a researcher based at Middlesex University and I’m currently conducting a study on the use of crystal meth by gay men in London.

I’m interested in talking to any guys in the London area who have tried crystal at some point (whether you are still using or not).

Interviews will take place at a location in Soho and will be totally confidential.

If you can spare an hour of your time towards the end of March please get in touch. I’d also be happy to answer any questions you might have around what would be involved or the reasons I’m conducting the study.

Use of Crystal Meth by gay men in London

• You are being invited to take part in a research study. Before you decide to participate, it is important for you to understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. Please take your time to read the following information carefully, and discuss it with others if you wish. Please ask if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information. Take your time to decide whether or not you would like to take part.

• An Ethics Committee reviews all proposals for research using human participants before they can proceed. The Middlesex Psychology Department’s Ethics Committee have reviewed this proposal.

• The aim of the study is to investigate the use of crystal meth by gay men in London. Your participation is important because there has been very little UK-based research that focuses on this drug or on drug use in the gay community.

• You will be asked to participate in an interview at a central London location. The interview will last no longer than one hour and will focus on your personal experiences of crystal meth. Although questions have been prepared you will also have the opportunity to discuss your own thoughts and feeling on the subject.

• Interviews will be tape recorded for later analysis. All data will be kept secure and tapes will be destroyed once the study has been completed. Your responses may be quoted in the final report on the study. However, your name will be changed and all personal details will be removed.

• You will be asked to sign a consent form prior to taking part in the research. Participation in this research is entirely voluntary. You do not have to take part if you do not want to. If you decide to take part you may withdraw at any time without giving a reason.

swims noticed alot of people that were buying meth frrom him back in the day are gay,i think it has to do with the overall hornyness of homosexuals(from his personal experiances) and the effect of low doses of methamphetamine,some of which mimic being horney,heart palpitaions etc.sadly he never botherd to ask.
