Spinal Stimulator
This swim I know was on hydrocondone for a long time, then morphine, fentyl and then back to hydro. Now hydro doesnt work for him as it is to weak as he has to take to much for any relief. He is currently now on Oxycodone and Fentyl pills for break out. He has severe case of Meralgia Paresthitica which affect his outer thigh all the way down to the knee. Driving, standing, sitting, exersize and many other normal things like even sleeping on his back is out of the question. The pain specialist suggested a Spinal Stimulator, the swim was not to thrilled about the idea of some pace maker device in him, and the possibility that it can also affect electronics since he works in IT. Any body have any info on this thing and if it has good results from leg pain and not back pain. His problem area comes out of his hip somewhere and is not coming from his back. Nerves affected are L3-5 Femoral nerve, so no surgery to remove or cut is an option. Any advice on this contraption is appreciated otherwise swim will just be a junkie the rest of his life as his condition is perm..

Re: Spinal Stimulator
A Certain Mouse has known people have good results from Tens (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator) Machines. No surgery is involved as it uses electrodes on the skin to transmit the current. I'm not sure, but I'd be surprised if the current involved would interfere with electrics - I'd recommend speaking to SWiY specialist about that, or refer to any patient info leaflets SWiY can get hold of.
