Side effects - Depression When Coming Down From Mushrooms?

Hello Everyone,
I'm 18 and I just started experimenting with recreational drugs about two
months ago (I smoked my first joint in Sept.), and since I have smoked
about 25 times. I have had different qualities of weed, mostly the
"dankest", but lately I've been smoking mid-grades because of the cost
efficiency.
So anyway, a couple nights ago I blazed 4 or 5 large bowls, and then did
shrooms, and nothing happened for 2 hours. Then, I was unbelievably
happy for about a half hour, just laughing at EVERYTHING and loving life
more than I ever have, and so I smoked another nice sized bowl and just
layed on my bed and enjoyed the ridiculous things I saw. Once the
happiness wore off, I got extremely
depressed and literally was the saddest I had been ever in my life. I just
thought a lot about the point of life and why we're all here (deep shit, I
know) and got really depressed. For the past day and a half I have
basically been sleeping and just doing nothing because of my sadness. I
have blazed once since taking shrooms. So, here's my question(s):

Is it normal for the "coming down" off of the euphoria of shrooms to be
depressing? As depressing as I described?

Did weed enhance my sadness?

Brutal honesty is welcome.
