Yes, there are different levels of enlightenment. Religious, spiritual, intellectual, secular etc. What type of enlightenment did SWIY experience with N20?

Intellectual enlightenment. Hard to explain outside of the N2O bubble. Whever swip gets extrememly high with nitrous he reaches a point where he undersand all the social queus and how everything works. It quickly fades.

SWIM has experienced similar revelations using LSD. One day he hopes to write down some of his findings but hasn't had the opportunity to have the perfect introspective trip yet.

The creation of this thread was swip's attempt to write out the levels of how all things work, while high on N2O, it faded before swip could type it all out. Normally during that moment, swip will blurt out a phrase or word, that his girlfriend will write down, and eventually it will all come together.

And I have had a few when doing perfectly legal things.
How swam deals with the fading is: I saw it ... I believed it ... now, I should remember it.
And, if I don't remember exactly what it was ... it was TRUE.
Believing in my now-Forgotten insights is part of my Spiritual path.

the only psychadelic SWIM has done is shrooms, but that said, without a doubt the shrooms open up a keen understanding of rather profound things. It changes the way SWIM looks at reality so that SWIM can actually analyze things with a perspective that is otherwise not there. SWIM has decided to continue to use shrooms but next time to do it with a conscious effort to use the insight it gives SWIM, instead of "just for fun."

Levels of enlightenment? SWIM feels enlightenment is apperception of reality, so there would have to be levels of reality i.e. "more real" or "less real." Baah, there's only real/illusory. No levels there. He also doesn't see how a biochemical interaction (brain/substance) could lead to a spiritual experience, unless one believes spirituality is merely the activity of a piece of meat (brain).

On low doses (10mg) of dmt combined with plenty of preperation beforehand swim has had quite a few extraordinary experiences. The feeling of hitting the vibrational state that comes before an out of body experience, and being pulled out of your body into someplace else. Maybe not enlightenment but it certainly encorperates itself into swim's general outlook on things.
