Re: storing GHB?

just another view but SWIM has now had white solid for 2 months in airtight container and ok for use - a little bit waxy now but each to their own used the tinfoil evap method - made huge amount of nice white cake - SWIM gave some to a friends monkey and it is pretty impressive when SWIM presents massive amount (cf materials like mdma where small amounts) - the monkeys face was worth the effort to get the solid! something comforting about this way of taking it vs. the solvent in pipette too

still, as long as everyone is happy

Re: storing GHB?

How does SWIY measure the dosage? SWIM found it nigh on impossible because the powder is so sticky and clumpy. Or did SWIY just allow the melt to cool into strips and left it at that without grinding it into powder?

Re: storing GHB?

hi MrG,

SWIM used the bicarb/reflux method, boiled down liquor by half then poured boiling clear liquor onto a baking sheet covered in tin-foil. At this point the concentrated salt solution was slightly viscous...heating in oven for 1 hour @ 125C - crystals start to form but its syrup-like consistency..cooling gave what SWIM would call a 'cake', thin(-ish) white solid. Careful peeling of the foil gave a large 'slab' - SWIM sliced it into cubes and into an airtight container - SWIM then uses .01g scale to measure out desired amount - SWIM has had these blocks for near 3 months and only a little waxy recently. SWIM understands what you mean about effect of moisture - SWIM likes to measure out the evening's goodies in advance. by last dose it's starting to get v.sticky and not too pleasnt to deal with

one thing that helped the process was when refluxing, SWIM used erlenmeier flask with a shot glass filled with cold water, worked a treat too

after your advice SWIM can now enjoy the fruits of labour - in fact SWIM's monkey is 'caked' up right now :} and a full night ahead
