Divorce Drug?
What would be the best drug to use while undergoing incredible emotional distress during a divorce? SWIM is looking for something to make him happy and forget about his troubles entirely. It would be preferred that such a drug not be inebriating enough to make impossible to act normal in front of people.
thank you -Vert |

Re: Divorce Drug?
I don't think there really is anything to help you, taking drugs to "drown your sorrows" is a good way to get addicted to them as a crutch. maybe some anti depressants though to help with the severe depression you must be going through, other than that I can think of nothing. Best of luck and hope you feel better soon.

Re: Divorce Drug?
Your sympathies are appreciated for SWIM.
After some research GHB seems to fit the profile. "users of GHB have a tendancy to let their inhibitions and troubles melt into a feeling a euphoria". sounds just right. Any opinions? |

Re: Divorce Drug?
No kids. Legality wise, everything is clear. SWIM is on good terms with his ex-wife. SWIM just feels he'd like to have a break from all of the heartache.

Re: Divorce Drug?
SWIM feels reefer isn't quite enough. All that does for him is lets him focus on a single area of distress as opposed to many simultaneously. SWIM has tried coke in freebasing and smoking it on his bud and snorting it. The coke seems to work alright for SWIM but he still feels fairly bad. Plus, with the expense of coke, an alternative and more appropriate drug would be ideal.
What do you think of GHB pink? |

Re: Divorce Drug?
GHB can be quite addictive in situations like that. GHB may be a nice vacation drug, but only within a short & predefined time frame.

Re: Divorce Drug?
sounds like SWIM should set a defined time for himself?
as in he's only to use until march 5th or something like that. interesting. |

Re: Divorce Drug?
Indeed. GHB can easely become a daily thing. After some regular intake, SWIM found himself in the situation that even though he decided not to take GHB on a particular day, he kept thinking he should while this was completely contradictionary to SWIMs opinion. SWIm seriously disliked this effect and aborted GHB for many years. Now SWIM finds GHB only suited for incidental intake.
So if SWIY is going to take GHB, this should be limited in daily dose and in days. However, GHB can cause problems in case of passing out. Dosing is essential. Kratom may be a nice alternative to tool around with. |

Re: Divorce Drug?
alright, thanks for the headsup. Should SWIM do this, he'll plan on making it on his own so it may be a few weeks for him to recieve the ghl necessary but the naoh should be easy to get for SWIM.

Re: Divorce Drug?
ANY drug used to suppress stressful emotions is EXTREMELY capable of becoming a crutch. Soon one finds themselves using the drug to overcome the stress the drug itself is causing their psyche.
Best Advice: Abandon mission and ride the tiger like a man. Or wind up whining in a re-hab and doing one 12-step program after another - and getting addicted to those! Warn SWIM accordingly. Last edited by Nagognog2; 28-02-2007 at 06:27. |

Re: Divorce Drug?
SWIM was sayingin his other thread that his whole life he's not had an addictive personality and he's very good at doing things in moderation and this will prove no different. Also, when SWIM get's his paycheck, he'll find some kratom (pronounced kraytum or krahtum??)
SWIM is thankful for the concern nag but he feels from past experiences that he'll be fine. |
