Drug info - Different trips, different mushrooms?

The first two times my friend did mushrooms he did about 1.8 g eaten raw on an empty stomach. He had very euphoric feelings as well as vived OEV with almost anything he looked at or wanted to see. These were very social. The third or fourth time this friend did shrooms was at a campsite and he consumed 3.7 g raw on a semi-empty stomach. This trip was very different...very little visuals, very confused (couldn't understand time), very forgetful....much of it was a blur....So, does this have to do wtih dosage...or were different strains taken that produced different reactions? Thanks.
