ketamine- use in moderation?

how would u people define "ketamine use in moderation " takin into consideration how it effects your normal life (social ife , work and so on) and also minimising fast tolerance ?

swim takes it most nites but usually cant stop at one line which leads on for good few hours ,, maybe has the break the odd nite but never has break of 2 nites in a row except when supply runs out which could then be a weeks break (as beltane rightly pointed out this is a good thing but doesnt feel like it at the time ... i heard) .

so maybe a 2 or three day break between each day ? except for weekend where u have no other commitments >? any views ????

Re: ketamine- use in moderation?

Swim found that Ketamine is like cocaine and other rather bingeable substances in that he can't hold on to a supply very easily. He has to just procure it for when he wants to do it and only get what he needs for that session, otherwise the urge to overdo it or continue going after he would have stopped is strong.

He also finds that it isn't something he'd want to do during the week either. Its best left to the weekend when you can handle comedown / after effects without messing with your routine.

Re: ketamine- use in moderation?

Once a week man, you really gotta be careful with K, It sneaks up on you and can be very addictive.
Swim rarely touches the stuff and majorly enjoys it when he does.
My advice is to keep it for the weekends.

Re: ketamine- use in moderation?

right, ketamine is something you should use in moderation, and regarding k moderation means: max. once a week.

at max, SWIM used a bottle (1000mg K) in 1 week, but SWIM usually keep a K bottle for 2 months, he used it once a week and almost always for spiritual purposes not for fun.

Snorting is a lot more addictive, SWIY should be really careful and stay away from everyday use, long-term use of K can mess with every aspect of SWIY's life.

SWIM thinks moderate use would be one shot per week with an exception of twice per week every few months.

Re: ketamine- use in moderation?

If swim used it on weekday he'd have no money wot so ever, he has a habbit of taking every drug he has all in 1 night until hes got nothin left, swim usually only has ket, X and weed (standardly) on a normal session. So if he had like 2g of ket he would try to sniff it all in 1 night until he ran out or he passed out.

Re: ketamine- use in moderation?

SWIM can guarantee you that taking ket every day seems amazing at first but a few weeks/months down the line you'll realise your addicted. If friends tell you you are you'll probably deny and dismiss it.

Once your addicted it's real hard to stop and a lot of SWIMs friends could only stop because SWIM was their only source in this city.

Put it this way, SWIM took 300-400g of the stuff before chucking it completely (for now), think of what that costs you! SWIM was roughly £2500 down. Of course SWIM loves a lot of other drugs too so that number is JUST for his K use.

Re: ketamine- use in moderation?

I'm another person who can vouch for the addictiveness of K. There are a lot of people I know (myself included) who have absolutely no self control with this drug and get through 2-3g a week. I don't even get any desireable effects from it which is a massive shame (

I've known for ages that I've had a problem and I've now deleted all my K dealers numbers.

Now back on topic. SWIM also finds ketamine very mentally addictive, the k-hole is a magical place for SWIM, it's heaven for him, a place he wants to be in as much as possible, where obviously it's addictiveness lies. Luckily SWIM only gets ketamine once in a while, and never really much. But if SWIM was stuck with a large amount he's shure he would be binging on it untill all ketamine was gone.

Exactly swim's sentiments. Ketamine could be a very useful drug for certain people, but certain people should also stay away from getting it in quantity. When swim doesn't have it he doesn't have a strong urge to procure any, but if he has it its much harder to moderate use.

You can have some fun experiences with K, but swim thinks that its a substance that is better to get once in a while in the amount that would last one session. That way you can have a good and potentially beneficial experience without risking a binge that would have more risks and side effects and that wouldn't be as worthwhile overall.

SWIM just tried K for the first time this past weekend, and SWIM agree's with the bingable aspect. Great feeling, great mood, had some great friends and music along with it. So all and all very good experience!

Re: ketamine- use in moderation?

SWIM takes ketamine about once a week, and usually gets through a gram and a half between 3 (sometimes 4) people, but the stuff SWIM gets is pretty pure and uncut (he is usually around when it's being cooked up), so your mileage may vary. SWIM always has a mild eyes open bouncy session first and takes quite small lines, but always goes for a k hole at the end of the night.

SWIM would not like to take it any more than this - at this rate, SWIM is familiar and comfortable enough with this substance to fully understand, learn from and enjoy it, without it ever becoming boring.

Re: ketamine- use in moderation?

swim takes ket every weekend that he can get it and will take as much as he can. he usually has about 5 E's and then later on he'll have about 50mg of K as a starter and then he'll start doin lines that go from about 60mg up to 200mg (each line is a little bit bigger than the last 1). swim trys not to get tempted during the weekdays unless its a special occasion.

the Khole is a special place, somewhere that lets swim leave every worry behind and just have pure fun with the ppl around him. going to this place too often can ruin it, its like everythin in life

Re: ketamine- use in moderation?

Does anyone around have a large (read unlimited personal supply) of ketamine and manage to use it less than once per week? How about once per month?

My experience with it and my communication with a few "authorities" suggest to me that it is so addictive that people tend to conceal their true use patterns.

Perhaps we could get a show of hands for any avatars who have mastered this "dragon".

cheers,
nite
