Instead of advil?

Would it be a suitable substitute for swim to smoke a bowl instead of taking advil for headache/neck/shoulder/back pain?

Depends.....weed will either clear a headache or make it worse. swim would prefer to be stoned with a headache rather than have a sober headache though. haha.

Weed is a hallucinogin.

So, when your High, it either gives you something else to think about (and the pain goes DOWN), or it makes you focus your thoughts on the pain (and, raising your awareness, thus making it intensify).

So, the ONLY way to tell is: Fire-up a fattie. Then you will know.

pot helps swim with headaches, nausea, back pain caused by a pinched nerve, and insomnia. swim suffers from migraines, but since he began smoking, the frequency of migraines has gone down (though this might have been influenced by other drugs - some hallucinogens have been linked to reduced migraines).

of course, if swim smokes too much in too little time, he will often develop a headache. less can be more.

then of course, one must factor the impact being high will have on other activities. it might be safer or more preferable to be sober, in which case a pill might be the preferred option.
