besides it being a great party, Carnival is also one of gardening's oldest holidays so i love Phatt Tuesday.
I fertilized my lawn in the shape of a smiley face. and I'm making 90 proof jello jigglers in a rainbow of colors. i've got crepe paper and lights and my friend is making special brownies... we're trying to do lots of neat stuff. i even sent my dad some links to live web cams of mardi gras scenes. any good party plans out there? |

i guess you won't mind giving pancakes up for Lent. i like pancakes with chocolate chips in them and especially if you use oil to make the edges all crispy when they fry.

The idea of lemon juice on pancakes is very unusual
to me here in the US, he he. Carnival pre-dates Christianity. It might be the oldest holiday we currently celebrate. Carnival occurs when we are thinking of planting crops for the new season. We have parades where we carry a display of choice crops. Doing that shows everyone, including weather or food gods, what kind of results we want this year. The parades were led by a beautiful maid and she was an example of how worthy and deserving of success we are. She might be followed by people waving cornstalks. Lent is something that grew from these practices. Lent/self-denial is sometimes a proof to God of our worthiness and/or sometimes it is seen as a cleansing/strengthening practice<<<all things meant to guarantee (continued) success. Pancake Day might be an offshoot by way of the grains used to make pancakes. A celebration featuring the harvests of last year, just like the corn ears and stalks that are held high during Carnival parades. In Christianity, eating of the bread and drinking wine is something we are asked to do in remembrance and as a way to keep our soils prepared for His next visit. *souls he he. sometimes typos are funny. i love gardening. |

lol u have to try the pancakes with sugar and lemon juice ! real nice, and not very odd in england lol.
i read not long ago about the eating of the bread and the drinking off the wine, they stated that the bread and wine jesus would of given his disciples were made using an ancient process called Monatomics and it sort of goes with what your saying about keeping the souls ready for the next visit. monatomic simply means one atomed and when u transfer a metal like gold to a monatomic state then loads of strange and weird things can happen. i cant explain it properly because i simplydont know enough. it made me come to an conclusion that jesus may of been an alchemist instead of a carpenter. because of the cures he used to posess! monatomic gold and other monatomic metals were supposed to have been used by the egyptians, and it helped them build there pyrimds and tall heavy structures. because the monatomic element can go in out of our existence. i think this monatomic gold business is simply amazing. please read on david hudson and his research. and also if your interested in trying` the health benifits it brings research zptech add .net and it should be a website. not sure about posting website on the forum but i figured ill take the risk as of the health benifits i might be providing lol aprently all my mates who have tried it said it actaully works and it leaves them feeling alot different. someone websites refere to it dating back to stories of the philosiphers stone. anyway enough rambling, and a huge subject to check out for anyone interested, especially thoughs interested in meditation, and general good health. cakes the carnival sounds great, i wish london was a bit more (together) everyone minds there business here and not many good carnivals, exist here. i hope u enjoyed it ! |

Re: Carnival Time Again!!
Sorry, was a little out of it last night.
Was remembering some Jamie Oliver show where he put lemon juice in things, I just knew would taste revolting. Makes my stomach turn when I think of it. But you can use as much lemon juice as you like, just don't make me eat, smell or think about it. |
