From Concerta to.....?

Swim was diagnosed with adhd and has used concerta legitimately and crushed / parachuted. He has gone quite high with his dosages and does not get any effects except accelerated heartrate and claminess. He is going to see his doctor about changing to something else, but he wants to come in knowing what to ask for, as his doctor does not specialize in adhd.

but first a couple questions for members:

- Has anyone tried concerta and been disappointed as well?
- If so did you find anything better?
- Does Adderall work for many if Concerta doesn't or vice versa?

Yeah all concerta is, is ritalin but higher dosage? (Methylphenidate). He has done both with no effects other then sickness. Like most "speed" products.

Adderall on the other hand worked like it should, giveing him more energy and concentration. Will this work for you, Smurf has no clue. Also Smurf has never been "properly" diagnosed with ADD\ADHD but only assumes he has it like most have told him. As for telling your doctor what you want....might not be such a good idea. Every doctor is differen't but if they suspect foulplay there not going to give you someting good.

Concerta is actually Dextromethylphenidate as opposed to a dl-methylphenidate.....


SWIM has tried Ritalin SR for his ADD and found it to be a bunch of crap.....Don't be scared to ask the doctor about trying something new. The Adderall XR's really do work well for ADD, a close second to Dexedrine...
