I'm not sure that this is EXACTLY the same thing as a contact high though, because the flamingo knows one person who has NEVER taken psychedelics who has experienced odd thought processes while around a group of people tripping

SWIM is familiar with this phenomenon, as he has both experienced it and provided it. It is no more different then sensing the emotion an individual is experiencing, and having a connection to it. SWIM's friends could just tell one day that he was having a very powerful trip, and could thus feel it as they too had ingested LSD.
SWIM has also experienced it while being in the presence of those smoking 5-meo-dmt. He felt as though some of the energy concentrated in the room was being leaked over to him, and felt in a completely altered state. However he was meditating with those smoking, and has mostly felt those "contact" highs through meditation.

Yes, thank you for pointing that out. It definitely takes both a want to feel what someone else is experiencing and some concentration (meditation). Psychedelics are powerful substances and have the ability to alter the energy fields around you, through you. This can lead to a noticable difference in perception for the people present, depending on their state of mind.

Swim has been doing alot of reading about natural out of body and near death experiences (without drugs). Swim read somewhere that natural OBE's can occur when your feeling depressed, anxious or out of place with your surroundings. Swim thinks that Swiys contract high might have been because the people swiy was with were trippin and swiy wasnt, this might have made swiy feel out of place in the crowd he was with, thus triggering a natural OBE, Also the weed would have made it alot more noticable. Another cause of OBE's is when you go into a deep relaxed state, the best example for explaining this is when your asleep and you start dreaming, its also 1 of the reasons why ketamine causes OBEs.
Swim has never experienced a contact high but has felt like he's becomming dissociated from his body, swim was suffering from extremely bad anxiety at the time. Swim always tried to resist these dissociated feelings.
Also has swiy ever taken LSD? If so, then seeing swiys friends take it could have triggered a flashback, If not, then swim cant see how swiy could tell if it was like an LSD trip. You never know the effects of LSD on you until you try it and no matter how hard someone trys, they can never explain an LSD experience so that a person that has never tried it can get a mental image of what it's actually like
