Opinions - "I don't understand cocaine" / cocaine is overrated/ cocaine is not worth it

SWIM has asked a group of friends, while gathered together, why they do coke and/or crack. The answers he recieved where very diversified and went from one extreme to the other. Some examples are: Social/peer acceptance, addiction, escape from reality, relaxation, to enhance a particular event, sex.....
SWIM partakes in smoking coke because: the euphoric state that takes over his body and mind which aids his escape from reality and ultimately give him a different point of view on everything. The naughty thrill that comes from acquiring the coke. A genuine addiction, which he acts upon when home.

What other reasons or excuses can there be????

SWIM does coke rarely but also to "feel good" and just to have fun in general. Using it to esacpe from your surroundings is only a temporary measure and is an action taken by a true addict. SWIM has only used coke for recreational purposes. The thrill with acquiring the coke is always fun as is being able to test the quality by railing a fat line but SWIM uses it rarely because he thinks weed is a better high.

Another excuse would be to stay up all night long. Some people just do coke so they can party longer into the night. Coke + booze is always a bomb combo but remember that these two drugs combined will metabolize into a completely different/more harmful drug called cocaethylene. Some people do bumps to study, but speed is much more common amoung students trying to hit the books.

SWim goes on about 3-4 binges a year. he usually does an 8 ball a night for a few nights in a row. Its a great social drug good for small parties with a tightnknit group of friends, who are accepting of course. It makes him feel very happy and lets him enjoy doing anything and nothing. Its a lot of fun the way SWIM does it, he gets the craving out of his system and the experience holds him over for several months. He finds it an intelligent drug as he can have intellectual conversations for hours with his fellow users.

Coke appeals to SWIM because it provides a unique, different feel which is a very happy sense and positive mood, much more energetic and social/talkative. Ideal party drug, but careful with coke its very addictive.

SWIM goes rhino every other weekend or two. He finds it to be a "superficial" type high..thoughts seem like glamourous or some shit like that. SWIM probably does it to get a clearer head from the fog he may sometimes receive from the occassional herb smoking he does recreationally. Honestly, SWIM believes coke is great in moderation and if looked upon/treated like at what its potential (for psych. purposes) was in the early 1900s, may be a way for all to approach her differently. SWIM likes the idea of a coke high but is very rarely satisfied with it. SWIM does coke once or twice a month in the hope that the high will be fun, sexy and make him confident.
Unfortunately for SWIM all that seems to happen nowadays is that he gets introverted, edgy, very hot, and just feels like he wants to do all the coke.
SWIM dont really like coke that much anymore though that dont seem to stop his brain from craving it. GRRR!

SWIM can appreciate the "Horror" aspect, certain friends of his say the same thing. Now, Umm....the invention of, he's assuming Crack, wasn't developed, found, invented or dreamed up in any 3rd World Ghetto. A quick search of this forum will help you clarify that. And, Ummm.....the "Psychosis" aspect being "Guaranteed", Hmmmm........he supposes anything is possible with anyone, kind of like being struck by lightning, but definately not something one can count on.

SWIM has done coke many many times but he has only smoked it once, freebase, he likes to think this is better than smoking crack but essentialyl its the same. Anyways it was one of the most amazing feelings SWIM has ever experienced, thats why hes only done it once, it was too good not to become addicted to.

Swim enjoys coke mostly for its ability to kick a MDMA roll back into high gear after it has been coming down.

It is also good with alcohol, making the sometimes depressing drunk into a wild rager.

So yeah, it has good synergistic effects. It also gives a feeling of power and strength in some way swim can't quite describe. It really fit the US culture in the 80s, as its quite a care free drug. Its all about living for the moment and having fun, and not caring about the consequences. In that respect its a very dangerous drug, but many people still use it because of its mystical allure. Coke always brings up thoughts of power and wealth, and still is seen as a higher class drug, even when it is quite harmful.

Swim doesn't really truly understand why people do coke. But then again swim doesn't understand why he did coke. Its just some unconscious desire that fuels the drug's use.

Everyone is different, particularly in brain chemistry. SWIY's opinion is one among many, albeit worthy of respect.

That is precisely what SWIM likes about it. Uppers over too long a period of time can be very unpleasant. Cola affords an extraordinary amount of control over both time and intensity. Tired of it all? Just kick back and wait fifteen minutes.

SWIM is affected *very* strongly sexually by cola. That's one of the major reasons why it's pretty much his substance of choice. For SWIM it acts as a powerful aphrodisiac. SWIM has had 40 or more orgasms in one night. As SWIY can probably imagine, that is a lot of pleasure.
