JUST aspirin and codeine-still Cold Water Extraction-able?

SWIM gets tablets with 400mg of aspirin and 8mg of codeine with nothing else in. Does this still work if the aspirin is just dissolved into the water and then cooled/filtered etc? SWIM tried it once but nothing seems to separate, it's just all cloudy Also, how much would be recommended for one dose in a beginner?

Small body type and probably no tolerance to other drugs! SWIM just wonders if the cold water extraction would still work with just aspirin with the codeine and no other substances.

SWIM seconds MrJim's notion. It does work on aspirin containing pills. As for the ideal dose, check the wonderful "opiate dosages" thread in the main opiates forum. SWIM probably wouldnt go above 60 mg for a first time experience.

Well, if your getting a cloudy mess, you can try a few things, make sure the water you use is as cold as possible, and what you may want to try, is add just enough water to cover the pills your using, wait about 30 minutes or so for it to soak in, and then add a little more water, it should leave the aspirin bits much bigger than if crushed when dry, and make it easier to filter, also, plop it in the freezer for a few minutes before filtering, gives it time to settle, and should make aspirin even less soluble. Another tip, try using more coffee filters, SWIM likes to use about 5-10 with a layer of cheese cloth to prevent breakage when squeezing out the liquid. But it should be very possible, and the lack of caffein is a good thing, makes for a better end product. Basicaly, try to let it sit as much as possible, stir as little as possible, keep it cold, and use a finer filter.
As for dose, for the uninitiated, 100mg would be a good start, good stone, definatly wont be mistaken as inefective, but probably not enough to cause problems, nausea and itching would be the only risks realy, and itching can be avoided by the use of antihistamines prior to dosing. However, for safety resons, if SWIY hasnt tried any opiates, he may want to start at 50mg, then take another 50mg 1hr later, just in case he's freakishly responsive, or has another negative effect that he isnt willing to go thru for a buzz, everybody is differant, everyone must find their own sweet spot

swim thought that swim wants to put the substance in a powder form into the water at a high temperature and then cool it at a cold temp you can filter. How bout percs?

eep, high temperatures will disolve more aspirin, and like SWIM said, if you crush them, the peices will be smaller, and more likely to fit thru your filter medium. Crushing/heat saves time, but leads to more aspirin in the final product, as well as makeing it harder to filter, unless you have a vaccume filtration system, as more small particles will block the holes in the filter, best to just let em sit in cold water till they disolve.
