Nausea/Hydrocodone

Swim was wondering if anyone has any suggestions to help with the nausea when taking Vics

All opiates cause a certain degree of nausea due to the way they act on receptors. Hydrocodone is no exception. There are several methods to prevent this, one will find that when lying down nausea is massively reduced as any movement compounds feelings of sickness.

The only surefire way to beat the nausea associated with opiates is to use anti-emetics. (anti sickness). These are a group of drugs that prevent you from feeling sick and include products such as cyclizine, Ondansetron and Chlopromazine. Some of these can be obtain OTC in the Uk but it does depend on what country SWIY is from.

Swim is from the US. Would Dramamine work?

Dramamine will work, not as effectively as some as Dramamine is more focused on Travel sickness which is a slightly differant concept but it will certainly help. SWIY should look for "Buccastem" or "Prochlorperazine" These might be available OTC in the US.

Yes Dramamine would help with naseau (as said above), but make sure SWIY takes smaller doses of hydrocodone if he decides to use dramamine. Combining two CNS depressants can be very dangerous, so use caution! Also a couple of hit of marijuana can really help with naseau (not to mention add to the experience!). Drinking alot of fluids (mainly water) and laying down can help offset the naseau too.

Great advice but also be aware drinking alot of fluids may be an issue with urinary rentention (Unable to piss) with opiates. A nice moderation should be used.

pot seems to be the magic cure for stomach naseau. works for most people, and as previously mentioned it will also add to the experience, those two substances go very well together in the opionion of many people.

Swim only wished to have some MJ....Swim no longers has a connection so Swim is SOL. O well.

if that is the case, I would recommend eating something rather plain just to pad your stomach, and laying down, that will greatly reduce nauseau, or at least it has for certain swims.
