Whats the point in the end?

Life is so filled with so much sorrow.It seems like thats what life is,the bad times seem to last while the good times are so fleeting.And when it's over it won't be any better.Chances are I'll just stay on earth as a lost and unhappy spirit forever hurting,I mean thats what happens to people that just don't ever find happiness.Do you think that theres any meaning in all this?That things could get better?

Why I have no idea, maybe our negative emotions have a much stronger impact on our lives than our so called positive ones for a reason unknown to us. Maybe it's a test for the afterlife, maybe it's just instinct. who knows.

It's true that life is full of a lot of bad things but there is the good things too. Sometimes the bad shit out weighs the good shit SWIM defiantly knows that. If SWIY thinks of the good things in his life then it can help to ease whatever personal suffering you're going through. Think of the family and friends that love you, think of the things you enjoy. Nobodies life is easy but life isn't supposed to be easy. If we all got what we wanted we'd still be unhappy. There's no such thing as a pefect life or even a life that's free from pain. SWIM's been through a lot, losing both his sister and his mother at seprate times in his life and SWIM can admit here and now that yes he thought about suicide and yes he might have attempted to end it all but at the end of the day SWIM's still here so there's obviously a reason for this. Is it to test SWIM or is he just fortunate who knows. SWIM certainly doesn't

As to say SWIY might never find happiness that's just the demons in your head speaking to you. Mr.Headfuck is what SWIM calls that voice. But SWIY isn't the only one who has these thoughts of "Whats the point in the end", everybody that has ever walked the planet has thought this. None of us know what the end is so we can't know until then. In life, death is the only guartnee. SWIM's not saying SWIY is suicidal or anything but if SWIY is then either seek help or just find that friend you can confide in. Who knows maybe SWIY will find a person or persons in the future that makes you happy or maybe a past time etc can help.

SWIM started writing his feelings down and soon he not only realised that he was an okay poet but that it helped. Keeping the emotions and feelings you have quiet and inside you is a dangerous thing. SWIM has found by the time he's finished writing his almost forgotten what he was worrying about etc.

Things can and should get better for SWIY and SWIY must know this to otherwise you wouldn't have started this topic. There's hope for us all just yet, it's best to wait around and see what happens in SWIM's opinion.

SWIM's here if you need him, I know talking over the internet to someone who you've never met and probably will never meet may not seem like a way of resolving an issue but the fact is we all need somebody to talk to. be it face to face with a friend or via the internet. This is the age of technology etc. if you've got the chance to communicate then you should use it

Think of all the fun times you've had, be it chilling with friends, enjoying a walk in the woods appreciating nature etc. Would SWIY really give all those things up. SWIY won't find happiness by wallowing in life's shit you must look past it all and try (as hard as it can be) to find something in life you appreciate.

SWIM will end this rant by saying the following. Life's like a book or a movie to which we know the beginning (birth) and the end (death) and our lives are the plot development. And as we all know each and every story has it highs and it lows. But it's what you learn and how you use those lessons that makes us truly human. Pain plays as much as a major part in your life than happiness does

SWIM has a very crippling and serious dependency on opiates and SWIM has dealt with alot of loss and ill health in the past few years.SWIM does have a few good things in his life especially his girlfriend but unfortunately she has to spend alot of time away from him in another state because of college and he really misses her but she is doing this so SWIM and her can have a better life so he understands.This probably isn't the forum for this but alot of SWIMS personal darkness comes from a drug so maybe it is.

If SWIY is reliant on opiates and if he feels they're causing him to be depressed, he needs to gradually reduce dosage and eventually quit entirely. Getting addicted to opiates is a downward spiral. SWIY knows what's causing him to be depressed, he knows what can end it, he should begin his recovery as soon as possible. Consider switching to different substances to substitute for a while. Marijuana, kratom, blue lotus, benzos etc. could all be useful.

I believe I read about this on erowid.Some experiences were positive but most people said it was so mild it wasn't even effective,but it is definitely something SWIM would be willing to try simply for the experience if nothing else.
