Let's Talk....Ways to Take Oxycontin

Like everyone else, SWIM crushed up oxycontin to get the immediate and very pleasurable feelings.

Been doing this a while and now, crushing up a brand name 80mg oxycontin barely does anything. Takes away the pain from DDD but, no extra pleasure like before.

Then, SWIM thought crushing up the oxys was helping his digestive system, liver and all destroy the oxy and allow less to get into SWIM's bloodstream. Tried to take a whole and same result as crushed.

Then SWIM SLIGHTLY crushed an oxy. Took a razor put an "X" sliced into the oxy, then tapped the oxy with a drinking glass which created a nice spiderweb type crack. It keeps the pill together while speeding up the digestion. With this, SWIM gets the best results. Pain relief AND some pleasure feelings.

SWIM feels that crushing the pill #1 helps dissolve it TOO MUCH and not much gets thru and #2 the oxy gets sent all over the body, dilluting the effect. SWIM feels trying to keep the pill whole allows it to dissolve in ONE part of the digestive tract, sending oxy to the SAME part of the body, overloading that part of the body, hopefully attaining the desired effect.

Imagine an 80mg oxy sitting in your G.I. tract, pumping oxycodone into your body. ONE part of your body, ONE way into your body. Now imagine that pill with a nice spiderweb crack in it. Hastening digestion while staying whole.

What do you guys think about this? What has worked for you or, SWIY???

SWIM had something else to add. The 80mg oxy is like a rock when SWIM tries to put a crack into it. The other day, SWIM threw it in his mouth and chewed it up, was in a rush.

For whatever reason, SWIM had it in his mouth for like 5 minutes churning in his saliva and when he went to chew on it, it was REAL soft and very easy to chew on. Wasn't like a rock.

Testing right now, SWIM just took an 80mg oxy whole, let it sit in his mouth a good five minutes. Now the 80mg should be nice and soft, while staying whole, going into the digestive tract.

The way oxys are made, HALF the amount of the oxy gets digested right away and the remaining gets digested over 12 hours.

Swim back in the good ole day in new orleans would enjoy taking an 80mg oc whole and then taking one crushed up. Snorting was allways fun and swim would do so only after he was loaded and the supplies were good. Taking the two 80 mg oc allowed for the long lasting time release feel and the rush. If Swim only had one 80mg he would keep it whole as to allow more time to obtain a secondary source for more.

You also have to know that it is not the coating on the pill that is the time release, its the binders inside of the pill. Also, it isn't going to be put into one part of the body or anything like that, im not sure why your experiences differ though. Swim likes snorting it anyway. It doesn't last as long, but a small rush is there(unless you have iv much before). If you have never insuffulated anything, start small. Effects come sooner anyway.

I totally agree about the coating, has nothing to do with time release.

So SWIM swallowed a whole 80mg AFTER swishing around his mouth for 5 minutes, letting the saliva soften it up. Never crushed/chewed.

No real noticeable difference in fact, SWIM thought to himself he'd rather crack it then ever eat it whole again. Oh well.

Do you have a reference? Everything SWIM has read says that the coating AND binders inside both contribute to the time release. As for cracking the pill vs. chewing it, keep in mind that oxycodone has to be absorbed via active transport through the stomach. These transporters can only uptake so much drug, so keeping it in one part of the stomach lessens the chance that maximum amounts will absorb. Plus, chewing it or turning it to powder before swallowing will increase the surface area, meaning more of it will be absorbed faster. However, oxycodone is taken up very effectively through the stomach, so the surface area effect may be negligable here.

SWIM's favorite method is to simply put it in his mouth and then chew it abit releasing all the oxycodone immediately.

well, if swim does not blow it, he ussually seperates it into shots of something, ussually vodka. He just puts a fraction of whatever he wants into however many shots he wants to do. Gives it time to take in the drug, and its already in a liquid.
