Smoking - Would SWIY consider this smoking crack? (also an experience story)

A freind of SWIM decided to roll a blunt a week or so ago, however, the weed was a bit lacking, and there was only about 1.5g of it, so, SWIM's freind, being the big spender, unloads about 2.3g of coke into the blunt, and rolls it up just fine. It's 12:30, SWIM and two friends smoke the blunt behind the local detox clinic, once the spliff died, SWIUs noticed that the burn (most definately had atleast some coke in the smoke) left behind a crunchy residue, not burned, just crystalized. (keep in mind this wasn't the best coke) So, in the interest of a good night, procede to smoke said crsytalized coke-caked weed out of a regular pipe, giving a rush, but more of a weedy, fuzzed high (about a 3:1 ratio of crystal coke and weed by now) and then head out on 2 mile walk about the neighborhood, returning at about 2:30, and finishing off the rest of the weedn'coke, and arriving home at around 3:00, falling almost immediately asleep.

So, would SWIY consider this smoking crack, or was it more of a freebase coke? If the difference even matters?

Swim would consider this to be wasting perfectly good cocaine hcl, that should have been insufflated along with the act of smoking the marijuana. Do a forum search for cooking or freebasing cocaine. Firmiliarize yourself with the proper methods to apply when using different techniques, and then with factual evidence in (imagine that eh), tell said friend what a foolish thing that was to do.

So it wasn't really smoking crack?

SWIM doesn't plan on doing anymore cocaine related drugs ever again, smoking it that time made SWIM feel utterly disgusting (SWIM noticed the sith-lord-esqe sunken eyes), and any insufflation has proven a mediocre and once again gross feeling endevor, so SWIM doesn't care to do anymore reasearch.

No offense to any cocaine users, this is just SWIM.

It definitely wouldn't be either freebasing or smoking crack. As pankreeas mentioned, it is smoking cocaine HCl which to SWIM's knowledge isn't too effective. Regular cocaine is in the hydrochloride salt form, and it takes a reaction with a base (like baking soda!) to convert it into the freebase form, that's crack.

If SWIY didn't like insufflated cocaine, its doubtful he would like smoking crack, which in SWIM's experience feels pretty much the same, but hits harder and faster (and wears off much more quickly!)

SWIM believes there may have been baking soda in the coke, because it wasn't the best stuff.

So, it was just smoking coke in a very wasteful fashion? SWIM can live with that.

well baking soda is needed for the conversion yah, but if you're leading towards possible activation through this crude method that would be the worst way to go about it. if I had to guess, end result would maybe result in under 10% efficiency. So in short; yes , quite wasteful indeed.
