Cold water extraction of codeine

SWIM read a bunch of Cold water extraction of codine FAQS online and tryed it. Using a simple method, Crush Tylenol 3 with 300/30 mg. 8 Tabs. Stir into 1/4 cup of hot but not boiling water. Wait till room Temp. Place into freezer, wait until 19c or around 20 min, Filter and done. When SWIM did this , the worst stomach pains followed. SWIM tryed again days later and same thing. SWIM would like to know a better, simple extraction?

Some people just get stomach aches from opiates. Most people SWIM knows get them the first few times they do them, so it might not be the CWE so much as SWIY being unaccustomed to opiates.

As for a simple, better extraction, it really doesnt get any simpler than CWE.

Any tips for SWIM on getting the most out of CWE?

Use the search engine, CWE's are covered in many threads. SWIM doesn't really do CWE's much anymore since he has access to opiates without acetaminophen, but there are a few threads here which would help SWIY greatly, some even have pictures!

You are not the first person that swim knows who has trouble with opiates. Some people's system's just don't like it. Obviously, it could be something else but swim has taken multi-gram amounts of tylenol - with codeine and swim's stomach never complained.
Just my 2 Euros.

Dont use hot water! crush the tablets into powder instead and place in cold water, you will get a better result

Also, Forthesevenlakes is right. It doesn't take much time to type "cwe" or "cold water extraction" into the forum search engine. It's a really good tool. Following instructions on DF as opposed to other non-forum sites has its advantages! For example, SWIY can get both sides of the story, and dodgy methods are exposed by the knowledgeable!

Incidentally, make sure SWIY cools to around +5 degrees C. This means leave it in the fridge for about an hour to be safe. May be too long, but I'd rather SWIY waits impatiently rather than demolishing SWIY's liver.
