Legal Advice Needed!
Three weeks ago I received a possession of marijuana charge by a park ranger in Delaware. Superbowl Sunday I was caught in my dorm with marijauna, paraphernalia, and alcohol. Today I received a possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use drug paraphernalia to grind, seperate, package, weigh, and burn marijauna for the purpose of inhaling its smoke and ingest into the human body, underage possession/consumption of alcohol, and possession of marijuana by university police in Delaware. I have never been charged with any drug related crimes in the past. When I received the first possession charge, the park ranger said if it as my first offense I would be put on a drug diversion program. Now that I have received these other charges what will likely happen to me? Both court dates are about 2 weeks apart next month.
If anyone has any knowledge of Delaware drug policies please give me advice. Last edited by gwar; 12-02-2007 at 01:56. Reason: left out information |

Re: Legal Advice Needed!
Swim's wondering if you are in the beautiful little town/city of Newark? Swim heard that they can be pretty strict down there, especially the university. Swim suggests getting a lawyer ASAP for the criminal charges and find a counselor at the school to talk to about your appearant drug problem
. The univ will mostl likely hear about the off campus offenses and you may very well be tossed right out of school, and not allowed to return. Swim thinks the only way to stay in school is to start talking to a drug councelor immidiately. Maybe talk to someone about any psychological symptoms you have been experiencing (depression?) This will look very good in the school's eyes, and my help you! Swim's been in a similar situation as you. Keep your nose clean (literally if that's an issue too ) until this blows over.

Re: Legal Advice Needed!
Wow! Hell of a couple weeks huh? Swim agrees with above post. Get in touch with a lawyer asap no matter if swiy can afford it or not. Trust swim it will be worth it in the long run. And also get in touch with some type of counseling because of the fact that it will show the judge that swiy realize that swiy have a problem and swiy want to take control of swiy problem. There probably is allot of free drug and alcohol counseling in your area and swim would recommend getting into some type asap.
