I will have to travel to the US in a short period of time and I have an ex that has had alot of time to make some trouble for me. I believe that she has sent class A drugs under my name and where confiscated. What would be the best way to check if I have any outstanding U.S. warrants?

Many online services will allow you to do a warrant search yourself. Intelius and KnowX are the two that come to mind. However, because the service is automated, it may overlook something, and return a false negative -- yielding an unpleasant surprise for you when you arrive in the US.
To check your warrants on a National or local level you should contact the US Dept of Justice or Federal Bureau of Investigation at +1(202) 324-3000. You will get an operator and you simply need to ask her to connect you with someone who can run you through NCIC's Wants and Warrants system.
The NCIC check is free. No point in paying a lawyer or paying an online web site when you can go straight to the source that administers the NCIC system and they will do it at no cost. The system is a "live" system so there is no chance that the web site has not updated with a current warrant status. The check will take about 2 minutes for either a positive or negative. I have no clue if they'll be honest to you.
However some sources claim that NCIC is available only to law enforcement agencies. Does anyone know what the best options are here?
It might be worthwhile to find out if there are extradition requests on your name. But I do not know how.
