oxycontin question

SWIM recently got some pretty bad frostbite and went to the doctor today to try and get oxy's for his excuriating pain(which actually isn't that bad at all) but he was givin "diclofenac" ...he plans on going back tomorrow to attempt to get oxy's and he was wondering if if there was anything he could say to increase his chances of getting oxy's prescribed, also would it be better to say he's experiencing the side effects(ie stomoch and chest pains which he actually is having) or should he tell the doctor it just flat out isn't working at all ?

Re: oxycontin question

no one here will tell you how to lie to your doctor. If diclofenac isn't cutting it, it isn't cutting it, and say so. Go see a new doctor if your current one won't give you help if you need it. But doctors are usually not going to just hand out narcotics, and certainly oxy will not be at the top of the list, oxycontin is usually only given for chronic pain, not acute. Thread closed.
