Both alcohol and MDMA dehydrate the body, which is the reason that they shouldn't be taken together.

SWIM suggests that if SWIY wants to drink at all during a roll, to remember that they has TWO substances in their system, and not just one, so be sure to not drink like they normally would if they were ONLY drinking.

Also, an obvious precaution would be to have lots of rehydrating drinks around.

SWIM and his friends found that Gatorade was actually great for keeping one hydrated while rolling, but SWIM isn't sure about how affective it would be with alcohol in the equation.

SWIM is baffled by the notion of taking a depressant like alcohol while trying to enjoy what SWIM has come to regard one of the great sacraments of modern pharmacology, MDMA. SWIM is a recovering alcoholic and has been generally sober for about 18 years. SWIM began enjoying MDMA about 4 years ago and regards drug one of the great experiences of his adult life. SWIM only does MDMA with his life partner and never more than once every 4 weeks minimum. They don't call it Ecstasy for nothing. SWIM has done many different drugs in his 50 years and NOTHING comes even close to MDMA for repairing what life does to him in the course of his wage slave existence. SWIM just doesn't understand the mind set.

It's called: "Getting fucked up, doOd!" And it stems from people being conditioned to view drugs as just that - Fucked up. Now the "fun" part begins - waking the sleepwalking masses and telling them what they really are capable of doing if approached correctly.

SWIM did a little MDMA and had a few drinks (sex on the beach, cran/vodka) and SWIM didn't know if SWIM was drunk, or feeling the effects of the MDMA. So SWIM wished SWIM hadn't thrown alcohol into the mix. SWIM also felt too hot (temperature wise) & had a wee bit of a tummy ach (which went away after 15 minutes). SWIM felt good though, but nothing extra special.

All in all, SWIM wished SWIM didn't waste the MDMA by drinking alcohol with it. SWIM doesn't recommend alcohol on the come up, just enjoy the MDMA by itself...

SWIM told me how a beer or two could help her relax during the comeup but agrees that it's better to not drink more than perhaps a couple pints since it can deaden the buzz and dehydrate the user. But they apparently mix well together in small amounts.

SWIM doesn't see the point in mixing anything with Ex really, SWIM loves the affects of it all on it's own.

The only substance that SWIM has ever mixed with EX was Weed, a joint during the come up seemed to open SWIM up into the ex like an overflowing glass, nice and slow coming over the edge... it was quite nice.

SWIM also found that a joint during the come down off of Ex really helps him get to sleep after a good roll.

Swim thinks marijuana is essential if swim embarks on any drug induced state......and the more the better .....they only mix's with weed that swim isnt very keen on are alcohol and coke.

Alcohol is sometimes good wen the pills r starting to wear off, it gets rid of that feeling u get wen u think to urself "dam theres nothin more to do other than go to sleep." Also swim thinks pills shouldnt be taken without weed. pills r also good with ketamine as long as you dont take the ketamine too early. as for alcohol and weed, well that just fucks u up (swim quite likes doin this sometimes tho, its kinda fun wen ur with loads of ppl)

Is SwiM the only person who thinks weed brings him down a little from the intensity of the peak? It has its benefits, like if you just want to relax and have a chat, but not when you want to be in a state.

SWIM has smoked while peaking, before peaking, and on the come down... all three didn't really seem to affect him that much (He wasn't exactly smoking a 5 paper or anything.) it just added a nice "side-o-weed" to the E high.

SWIM prefers to smoke on the come down though, as he said it helps him get to sleep

Ditto on that, its just smoking while up that gets SwiM. Although, hes not a lover of weed anyway, which might contribute. Well, like my dad always said, if you dont like it, dont do it.

Swim likes to drink a few beers while rolling and with pure mdma pills the alcohol in no way takes away from the roll. When drinking and rolling Swim always sips on some gatorade or orange juice as to remain conscientious of the dehydrating effects of both. Drinking a few has proven nice for Swim when the comedown starts as it gives you something to do other than pop another pill. Do be prepared for a headache the next morning as the dehydrating effects of both will almost always give you a headache. (nothing popping a few excedrin early the next morning cant fix : )

Also from Swim's experiences bud only enhances the roll...even while peaking.

I am new here so hello all.
SWIM has never taken E sober SWIM has always been extremly intoxicated. 50+ units of alcohol. SWIM had no problems at the beginning. he stopped e for a period of 3 months then resumed. he had had a awful lot to drink on this night and 1 e tab seem to have him wiped out (rolling) for 6 straight hours. ever since then SWIM has had a bad reaction to E he states that the trip is not very good then around 5-7 hours after dropping he has terribe anxiety cannot stay still/sleep and his body tempature soars his skin begins to burn.
small doses (1/2 a tab) make little difference and the bad effects are still very scary. (SWIM belives he is going to die as he is so warm) swim also notes that he always tried to stay hydrated.

he would like to know why this is happining as he actually enjoys pills but cannot cope with the after effect.

Is this happening when swiy takes ecstasy sober, or is he still dropping pills while inebriated?

SWIM has never had esctasy sober.
he belives that the pill he took after the time he had away has changed something. as any ecstasy experience he had after that resulted in a second rate high and undiserable effects as noted above. he also notes that that one pill had him more wiped out than 3 pills had previsiouly. he wonders is it possible that that one pill messed with something in his head? lets just say he was mangled for 6 straight hours.

Ecstasy is often adulterated, and just about anything could be in it. Swiy may just have got a pill comprised mostly of something other than MDxx. Yet another reason to not ingest quantities of alcohol with ecstasy tablets.

SWIM and 2 friends regularly put back a few bottles of wine, a liter of vodka, and some cans of beer or cider after dropping, and so far have been as far as they can tell ok, but they do usually do e in a comfey enviroment laying about rather than dancing for hours
every now and again they do all turn into babbling melted emotional messes, usually followed with no memory the next day... without wanting to bring on a hail of " you havnt a clue what might be in your pill (which i know i really dont)" the pills that mixed with alcohol seem to completely destroy SWIM, from reading trip reports and noticing aspects effects within the trip, seem to have high MDA or other MDxx compounds rather than MDMA.
Just because SWIM drinks lots while on E and has not ever (he can feel the headache of fate/sods law in the distance) got a headache or worse comedown/ hangover the next day does not mean everyone else wil be so lucky with the combo.

Everyone knows that mixing any drug with alcohol can only
increase the potential danger and harm to your body, thats a fact
not an opinion.
Said that, when swim has mdma powder after a few (or more)
drinks he does not experience the little kind of anxiety of the
mdma powder come-up.
However swim experienced to have a really few memories
of the night when he took x/mdma after (what they revealed to be)
too many drinks, so now he never goes too far with the drinking before a roll, and never drink anything but water or juice while on it.

p.s. drinking alcohol after dropping just soils the beautiful mdma effect (but of course, this is only swim's opinion).

There hasnt been to many times where swim hasnt drank before taking MDMA. But when swim first started using MDMA he remebers that it would sober him right up and he would get the full blown effect. Now swim when pissed dosnt notice ecstasy as much when drinking or that infect, the reason that SWIM is having a break.
