Pure MDMA more dangerous than ecstasy tablets???

The warning came after a batch of pure ecstasy, known as MDMA, was offered to people in Workington recent weeks. Police drug experts warned that taking ecstasy in any form was dangerous, but taking it as pure MDMA massively increased the risk to the health.

Ecstasy is a class A drug that can cause users to overheat and become dehydrated, and anyone with a heart condition, blood pressure problems, epilepsy or asthma can suffer a dangerous reaction after using it.

Most ecstasy pills contain a very small dosage of MDMA, so taking it in its pure form greatly increases the risk to users.

In October last year, clubbers were warned to be on their guard after reports that several people had fallen ill after taking dodgy ecstasy tablets in Barrow.

Police involved in that case received several calls from drug users that the pills, displaying a distinctive Playboy logo, were extra strength and causing users to fall ill. Police in west Cumbria are concerned that the pure MDMA on sale now could have the same affect.

A recent study found that since 1996 there had been a clear year-on-year increase in deaths involving ecstasy in England and Wales. In the past five years the cost of buying a tablet in Cumbria fell from £9 to between £5 and £2, making them more accessible than ever.

Well ecstacy is so not pure these days dood. They add all kinds of shit dood, like rat poison, glass and now the latest thing is contamination with MDMA. MDMA can fuck off, bring back the good old original ecstasy!
