Im wondering has anyone from the forum been here and if anyone could share any of their experiences there. Is cannabis still being sold on the street here and if so what is the quality like? Would it be a good place to visit ? etc

Swip remembers an article in one of the stoner magazines about christania a few years ago. The way he remembers it is that they like their privacy and aren't too friendly to tourists.... for stoner vacations, amsterdam is probably the better bet.

SWIM lives 30 mins away from Christania, and he must admit, that much has changed over the years.

Pusher Street was the street in which most dealers were standing, though it got closed down some time ago, due to sending out an inproper signal to the world - "weed is ok here in Denmark, yeah!".

Anyway, you can still go there and buy weed, and so many does.

In general in works like this:

All the weed comes from Christania, and then some of the smalltime dealers go to Christania to get their stash, and so on.

People at Christania are not unfriendly, just scared and annoyed at the police. The police is there like 10-20 times a day (yes, this is true - it's been on the news several times).

Though, if you want to buy some, just go chill at a bench, then someone will come over to you, otherwise just go talk with them, most of them are friendly, though some can appear very businessminded, which isn't that nice.

Amsterdam would probaly be the most fun, because even though smoking weed isn't such a big deal here in Denmark, it's just more nice to buy, roll and smoke weed with no fear of getting watched by the police
