benzos and opiates: a bad combo.

SWIM just aquired 100 codeine pills, 100 propoxyphene pills, 60 methylphenidate pills and 100 midazolam pills from an online source. Swim was very happy to see that the medication was in his mailbox today after waiting 2 weeks!

Anyways

Swim was wondering if it was a good idea to take 3 (15mg) codeine and 3 propoxyphene (30mg) and a midazolam (7.5mg) and also combine that with ritalin... Swim has experience with "speedballing" as well. Just wondering what other people think about this combo

Seriously, SWIM would be more worried about mixing downers with downers than mixing ritalin with opiates. The doses SWIY is talking about aren't very high, so there might not be a huge danger in an of themselves, but benzos are notorious for causing blackouts, SWIY could forget how many pills he took and take some more, and a step too far in any direction here could be very disastrous. The probability of making a stupid, dangerous, and/or lethal mistake skyrockets when mixing drugs like this, so SWIM would advise against it.

Very true, sound advice. SWIM took 1 mg of xanax with a few vicodin once and passed out hard in a social setting. Could hardly remember shit, had to have people empty his pockets for him so he didn't get busted. Careful man. People out there care about you and that's something you can't risk.

Well swim was not lucky enough to have read this advice before waking up this morning. swiy took just the codeine pills (total of 100mg) and then took 1 midazolam and was going to wait to take the ritalin until he was feeling sleepy. Well swim does not recall last night and never ended up taking the ritalin, he just kinda passed out on his couch and somehow fell on the floor, or maybe he passed out on the floor. The last thing swim remembers is feeling really good and kinda itchy and swim was thinking "I dont know why I was scared to do this, this isn't that bad"
In the past swim has mixed pain killers with benzos, swim would mix 40mg oxycodone with 10mg valium and still remember what happened, although he woud act a little nutty and not remember EVERYTHING. However swim has never not remembered the whole night only 45 min after taking pills. That midazolam kicked swims ass. Swim needs to aquire something a little less sedative. Or just stick to using them seperately.
Thanks for the advice, wish I woulda seen that before last night. I never really thought about the whole forgetting you took pills scenario and its very true!!

I would also like to add that swims roomate told him that he was not acting any different that he normally would, he also said swim was on the couch watching a movie around 11pm, swim took the pills at 7pm, not really sure when swim went to sleep, but im sure he was enjoying the movie. Swim checked dvd player a secong ago after hearing this from his roomate and found out that he was watching mean girls, however the dvd was in the wrong way....hmmm....ahahah

swim stays the fu.k away from benzos. he took 5 1mg xanax once and drank a few beers, and woke up the next morning missing 10 xanax and not remembering anything about last night up to drinking his second beer. Later, his friends told him that he drank about eight more beers and took the rest of his pills, eventually falling to the ground, shaking and foaming at the mouth. his friends drove him home (13 miles) on a fourwheeler while this was happening.

Swim still has no idea how he got into his house and into bed, and he didn't even feel like anything had happened. It seems like he would've had a killer hang over, but swim felt great.

Taking more benzos than anticipated after taking some is a more common phenomenon than one might think, and its also part of the reason that combining them with other downers is so dangerous. Codeine or xanax may be relatively safe on their own, but combined, they lend themselves to some irresponsible behavior. Anyway, this thread is beginning to stray off topic, and the main points have been covered (viz: don't mix downers), so I'm going to close it!
