Have You Made Contact With Other Beings/entities?

Most members here probably find this extremely interesting, which is itself extremely interesting.

I've sacrificed a lot of brain cells and some of my sanity wrestling with different variations of this.

It's a tease. Almost like another one of those lions at the gate, except this one is very slick and there for the more erudite among us.

This is interesting. Ever since SWIM began using psychoactive chemicals he's wondered about the nature of altered perceptions: to what extent do they constitute a legitimate reality, or perhaps consciousness expansion, or are they just psychic masturbation?

SWIM favored the more generous explanations as a youth, but now is a bit more cynical. Rather than completely write them off, however, he'd suggest that they can be useful to the extent that they reveal subconscious thoughts that usually get filtered out or ignored.

Example: while tripping on Salvia recently, SWIM believed (to a certain extent) that the musicians on his stereo were in the room with him; specifically, that everyone was in a studio and SWIM was being mildly chastised for not playing/singing and thus wasting studio time. SWIM has always had an interest in music and has contemplated learning an instrument, but never acted on it because he believed that such skills are best learned when the mind is young an pliable, so he'd always be mediocre. From this experience SWIM has decided to learn to play: even if mediocre, he can at least enjoy himself.

In fact, I'd argue that even drugs not typically associated with "consciousness expansion" have value. SWIM's experiences with alcohol--specifically blacking out--have affected his views of death. As SWIM never fought the blackout, and knows there's always a chance of never coming out the other side, he's become convined that death, also, ought not to be a terrible thing to be afraid of.

Powerful psychedelics often put the user into a childlike frame of mind where everything mundane suddenly seems significant. The user can become entranced by the simplest of things...they look around in wonder at the world that their sober adult minds have learned to dissociate and ignore. I think this is what makes them so useful for therapy. In a sense, it's a return to childhood...to a time before all the negative programming was added to the brain. This can allow the negative cognitions to be reprogrammed much more easily than if the patient were sober.

This "returning to childhood" conept is intriguing: as it allows a new look at the everyday, one can wonder if it might aid in learning new tasks and prevent one from becoming "set in one's ways" as one ages. It would be interesting to study and see if judicious use of psychadelics have any effect on learning rates.

I have had two intense experiences, however both of them happened before I ever did any drugs

The first one was when I was seven: I saw a UFO outside the living room window, it was past midnight, and I was the only one awake. The window was covered in heavy drapes, but I could see right through the drapes; it was a pretty crazy expereince, now that I think about it. As a kid, I didn't know too much, and for some reason it didn't really freak me out at all.

My second experience happened when I was 15. I come from a very religious background, and I grew up going to church quite a bit and praying regularly. During that year, I strayed away from religion a bit and started being interested in the occult (I'm pretty sure this had something to do with my expereince, but there's really no way to know). What happened is that I once again woke up in the middle of the night because I had this feeling of dread and fear in my stomach, it was a really distasteful feeling. Something compelled me to look over to the left where I have a nightstand. I did and there was this huge demon dog sitting on the nightstand, it had red glowing eyes. FREAKED ME out! I couldn't stop staring at it, as it was staring at me, and get this, I could hear it breathing inside my head. This is some trippy shit. This experience probably didn't last more than a few seconds, because I got up and ran upstairs where the rest of my family was sleeping. It still gives me the creeps just thinking about that damn dog . . .

Now, fortunately, I haven't had any experiences like that when I've been on drugs. I've seen slight hallucinations when on mushrooms or meth, but they weren't anything close to being like this.

SWIM has rarely meets any other beings on DXM.

SWIM however, meets beings while *dreaming* everynight. SWIM almost never (at lesat can't remember) having a dream and meeting nobody. Are these dream people, real people? A dream is an altered state of consciousness, after all, right?

SWIM finds DXM makes him more "internal". SWIM however has felt "connections" to people he already knows, on DXM, communicating with them on a much deeper more intimate level.

SWIM met some demons on LSD, and never wants to meet them again.

You might enjoy reading Plato about this concept. Most people will say a dream is just a dream. I do not think so. Although dreams do process experience and thoughts, I experience more in dreams and find meeting people very interesting.

SWIM will always remember one of his salvia trips which dealt with "paranormal" creatures if I may say. It was generally a two part trip.

The first trip began with SWIMs total black out, he then entered an active dream - SWIM will try to describe it as understandable as possible.

Generally, the salvia trip showed SWIM that we all are some kind of receivers; one could say the receivers of cosmos energy of some sort. In the trip SWIMs mind - as an individual being apart from his body - was disconnected from his "receiving end". SWIM watched a creature (what seemed to be a crystal-star like sharp object) move away from SWIMs "receiver". The place where this happened was some sort of a artificial yet mathematically perfect and geometrically symmetric cave (reminded SWIM of Alex Grey paintings (colors etc)). All over the caves surface there are tiny holes - which are the "receiver spots". SWIM's not sure how to fully explain this, it is as if those dots are the links to our mind. So, as the trip moved on, SWIM watched the being "take" his "mind" (which was a form of a crystal) and move to a central post or something like that. By the way, as SWIM remembers there was only one of those creatures there. After a while SWIM regained his consciousness (if he ever had lost it) and awoke from the trip.

The other part - a bit later, with, also, salvia was somewhat similar. SWIM watched an endless tunnel (even though he never saw it being endless, but he just knew - this tunnel is endless) filled with soft wax blocks. Apparently, those wax blocks are SWIMs thoughts. So the creature (again, same looking floating crystal creature) took one of the blocks (about 2 metres high) and moved it down the tunnel. SWIM cannot remember much more..

So much for SWIMs contacts with entities.

In my most recent experience, just a few days ago, I had definitely was the recipient of conscious contact with something displaying intelligence. It was like being connected by way of directing one another's thoughts in order to have the fastest conversation you could imagine. I actually wrote out the whole trip report and have posted it in some places online. Are we allowed to post trip reports here?

SWIM has done salvia, mushrooms, DXM, etc. pretty hard and never contacted any other beings in those experiences. When he is totally max-tripped, he usually feels very very alone, like he's just this tiny insignificant embryo floating in an infinite universe. I remember reading something ~lostgirl~ had wrote, calling it "cosmic agoraphobia" which I thought was an incredibly brilliant way to put it, and I've thought of it that way since. SWIM is way over it though at this point, it's not scary to him anymore, but it still happens.

In SWIM's dreams however, he makes contact with weird people, beings, creatures, entities a couple nights a week - both in lucid dreams and regular ones. He lucid dreams involuntarily about 1-2 nights a week, but can otherwise do it whenever he choses to think about it before bed. Those are the most fun, talking to some weird creature imparting knowledge to you that isn't coming from your conscious mind. SWIM frequently forgets what they tell him though, he can't even say how many times he had his mind blown in a lucid dream, then woke up like "FUCK! I was supposed to remember what that thing said."

well swim has done pills, dxm, morning glory, angels trumpet, but for some reason swim has only gotten visions while under the influence of pot, swim was getting them almost every time swim relaxed swim's mind and basically meditated but ususally they were just different shapes and locations but one night a ball of energy thing in the middle of the forest came to swim and told swim, that he was "god" but he came to tell me that god is not a person but yet the earth and that "we"(as in animals plants and humans etc) are all one mind and are all connected by our life force and then my dad busted in my room and ruined everything so that's all i really got out of the whole deal but it was still a very weird experience but if you think about it couldn't "god" be earth? and that we are all linked?

Swim has come in contact with many entities, spirits and aliens while he was on DMT. These aliens were very friendly to swim though as they were showing him new sights, sounds and thoughts. They were showing swim the peace sign and just wanted to be loved like everyone else. Swim believes that there are thousands of dimensions but that are consious mind can only navigate through 3 of them. Swim believes that there is a spirit world were everyone and everything is connected by some type of power.

Our "mind" - the consciousness that experiences the world - is a collection of nerve cells in a specific configuration. Neurons can communicate with other neurons adjacent to them in space, and the sum of these signals creates a thinking, feeling entity.

From the standpoint of modern physics, space and time are identical.

Could a neuron possibly communicate with another one adjacent to it in time - ie, the same neuron one quantum-second ago, or one quantum-second to come?

Our bodies are connected - in a very real, very physical sense - to ourselves in the past and future. Examine a human not as a 3D snapshot in time, as we usually do, but as a 4D undulating, serpentine form stretching from the moment of conception to the moment of death, the person's children splitting off new branches like a tree. Follow it backwards past the root (conception), and you see that the person is just one microscopic branch of the vast Tree of Life stretching back to the first biogenesis a billion years ago.

Given that our little 100-billion neuron brains form a complex intelligence, I wonder what sort of mind might be formed by unknown quadrillions of nervous systems all strung together in a complex tree stretching over time. It might provide a physical explanation for prophecy, revelations, intuition...all sorts of odd things.

If such neuron-to-neuron communication across time were possible.

Swim believes this to be true to an extent. The only reason for the 'extent' is is because he dosnt necessairly believe that the earth is god, rather the earth is another part of 'living, concious' beings. Some people say that these things arent concious ie; trees, animals, insects, the earth but thats without people being able to ask them if they are. Swim believes that these beings are concious to a point where they already know the meaning of life, and thats why they dont have to ponder and act just as they should to fufill their obligations to the greater good.
The way you would be interpreted as god is with your 'life energy,' if I was a doubting man I would think that you have read many of swims thoughts and made your own post about it, but Im not and swim thinks everyone can have these realizations. You just have to listen. Back to life energy, everything has it, thats why you can eat a hamburger and run a mile, thats why your body maintains homeostasis. Its no coincidence. If you take this energy further we are all connected by it, to a point where are one 'with' this greater force. We are not this force because we dont know the origins and dont posess this power singularly (if you look at the big picture) but we can do things with it that are unconventional at times ie; prayer (it works), dimensional traveling and unity. If you think of the human race in this way (connectivity) we are probably one of the largest living organisms on this planet and with that comes alot of responsibility, so just try not to fuck this up for the rest of us

calico: they have studies that are very compelling on neurons and that they actually do travel backwards in time. I wish I had time to cite my references but these things have all become very interesting to swim ever since he realized what he was seeing. I believe everything down to planck's scale (and beyond) has conciousness and thats how it operates on an individual level as well as a communal one. Still, very interesting post. Thanks.
