Wild marijuana in Alaska

swim has an acquaintence who hunts regularly in alaska. he actually owns a business where people pays tens of thousands of $$ to hunt wild/exotic game. a few nights ago during a session, he tried to tell swim that there are fields upon fields upon fields of marijuana growing wildly in alaska and that it is of mid grade quality (as there are dirty male plants pollenating the females). swim cannot believe this because he knows that marijuana would not grow wildly in a non tropical climate. has anyone ever heard of this? is there an untapped unlimited resource of the forbidden plant right here in the united states? swim wants to call bullshit on his acquaintence reeaaal bad, but at the same time wants this story to be true.
