Nature or city for an LSD trip?

SWIM has taken acid 3 times before, all of which in city venue (2 times at a house, once at a rave) all of which he found very enjoyable. SWIM has shroomed roughly 5 times, all of which has been out in nature and extremely enjoyable. SWIM had a long conversation with his friend, who said his father said it is best to trip in nature. Where does SWIY prefer to trip? SWIM thinks that overall he'd prefer trippin on cid in the city, since its more chaotic, more colorful etc, and goes overall with the drug. I.E. He thinks that Computer Screens, posters, houses, cars, etc... are very trippy whereas he thinks that grass and trees would be not as much. Although if he was going out shrooming he would still go with nature.

Do you guys feel the same? LSD for the city and Shrooms for Nature?

Obviously u cant only do that, but for purely subjective opinionated purposes.

Can't speak for others, but Bongo tells me this:

"I trip between my ears and in back of my eyeballs. All other things are the icing."

Re: Nature or city?

Nature evertime.

Most cities are full of rank smells, weird vibes and loads of f*cked up people who want your money or your ciggarettes. I can't even imagine why anyone would choose the city over a nice hike in the woods or mountains...

Re: Nature or city?

Nature. A tranquil setting always beats a chaotic setting. That being said, SWIM has achieved his most mind-blowing psychedelic-induced states using computer screens, glowsticks, trip toys etc. Not exactly falling in line with the whole nature setting. I suppose the mental stimulation of electronic devices can achieve states that otherwise cannot be achieved by nature but it's a two-way street. The beauty of nature can be more euphoric.

Nature. Dont get swim wrong, he really enjoys tripping in the city but something inside him always longs to be out in nature. Swim tends to go off on rants about the development overkill in his area when on drugs and most times will try find a way to visit a river, or forest. It gives him peace of mind.

I totally agree. One of Bob Marley's best trips was watching the waves roll in under a full moon at the beach. It was definatly a mind blowing experience he'll never forget! Bob Marley also likes to trip at raves, and thinks that raves beat anything the city or nature has to offer. (As long as the raves are playing some good Drum N Bass or Breakbeats or Hardstyle!)

nature is the best id think. like nagognug2 said "I trip between my ears and in back of my eyeballs. All other things are the icing." I liked that and get what hes saying. Its all inside you. but I still like the isolated feeling because you can completly let loose and enjoy it. there has always been some magical adventure that presents itself and inside a house or something, there is tons of little mini trips id say (based on one persons experience) but as far as walking around a city goes...those ones are least enjoyable imo. for example, LA is not exactly a fun place to be wondering around on a head full of cid. there were 3 people once who did this and one of them got seperated about an hour later he found his other 2 friends and explained that he got in an elevater and it took him down into a cement basement about 20 feet by 20 feet and there was nothing down there and the elevater wouldnt come back to get him. he was stuck there. so like idiots the other 2 wanted to see so the 3 of them go back to the elevator and go down to the basement. and they got stuck down there for about 20 minutes. 3 teenagers all tripping on acid stuck in some basement in los angeles. later, they went to this resturaunt because they were all thirsty. they were in there and ordered big meals...not cause they were hungry but because a man came over and asked them what they wanted and next thing you know they had ordered big meals. the thing of it was...they didnt have any money. so they were sitting in this resturaunt waiting for food that they were too high to eat and with no money to pay for it anyway. then something even worse happened....one of the boys parents walked in as they were about to run out of the resturaunt. they say when youre tripping even crossingthe street can be difficult. well, they were in a pretty shitty situation there. makes for good stories 15 years later but at the time its not a fun situation to find your self in.

one more thing. when youre in a pblic setting you really have to do every thing you can to hold it all inside of you and thats hard to do. its not for holding back its for expeirencing and to do that effectively one needs to be somewhere that can happen naturely

When your around alot of people tripping, like let's say in a big city. And you start thinking about the fact that your tripping, then yes, you probably will have a bad trip. But if you can train yourself to just let yourself go when your around people then it can be pretty enjoyable. The cookie monster went to a party tripping, and everyone there was drunk and he was the only one tripping, and had a blast because he wasn't worried about weather or not people knew he was tripping, he just let himself go. It takes practice my young palawan!

Re: Nature or city for an LSD trip?

SWIM finds tripping in nature much more appealing but he has tripped indoors, be it at his house or at a rave etc. Being inside can sometimes be much more strange as objects that you're familiar with have no meaning at all or else look completely different. SWIM never knew how interesting the tiles in his kitchen or the wallpaper in his room could be.

The downside about tripping indoors is that SWIM can get sucked in by things be it his TV or computer. Don't get me wrong, surfing online or watching a movie will tripping can be fun but for some reason it seems like a waste to SWIM. You can watch TV and surf whenever you wish.

SWIM thinks you can get the most out of your trip by being outdoors, seeing the world for what seems like the first time again is how one might describe it. SWIM has spent minutes on end either talking to a tree that's talking back to him or enjoying the movement of water as it flows down a stream.

Outside seems much more stimulating and adventurous as it's like entering the unknown. But always make sure your in a safe environment, the last thing you want is either a member of the law enforcement or just a nosey neighbor seeing you talking to a tree or walking around funny.

Inside in it's on way is unique as familiar things seem different and of course there's much more feeling of being safe indoors.

SWIM enjoys being outdoors for tripping but it's not like he would turn down the chance to be tripping indoors either.

*Forest mid-winter, star filled sky, moon shining down on sparkling snow, ice cracking and growning on the lake. Beautiful!
*Never on the streets of the city. Too chaotic.
*Darkened bedroom, good tea, candlelights, ambient trance or arabic music. Magical!

"You" do not like tripping anywhere. "Your Coelocanth" (? sp) may.
