Re: Analogue laws Ireland
I believe these paragraphs from the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 1988 cover most of the common RCs.

Re: Analogue laws Ireland
There are no laymans terms for this. The main term here is 'structurally derived'. At the first glance this looks like all tryptamines and all phenethylamines are covered by this act. But then again why is there a need to name variations of phenethylamines? If any substance structurally derived from phenethylamine is covered, then why is there a need to name µ-methyl phenethylamine? Isn't that a substance structurally derived from phenethylamine? I'd apreciate some input here.
The phenethylamine structure can be found in many molecules. Even in the molecule of LSD. So how far does this law reach? Are ketones or other structures which have a phenethylamine structure included covered by this law? |

Storming Heaven; Is there any particular substance(s) SWIY is wondering about?

Worth noting is that the wording of these paragraphs is identical to that of the tryptamine/PEA derivitive paragraphs in the UK Misuse of Drugs Acts 1977. Last edited by Abrad; 16-01-2007 at 17:45. |

Re: Analogue laws Ireland
Swim cant really say at this time but suffice to say that swim spends a lot of time dodging the rain and the bullets and needs to see if there is any differnece between UK and Eire on this matter its where they differ as well as where they are the same that is the key to swim's query!
