Obtaining adderall in the EU..?

SWIM used to have a prescription for adderall many moons ago and while living in the United States. In addition to purchasing it through perscription and over-the-counter at drug stores, SWIM was able to take advantage of pharmacy websites.

Now that SWIM resides in an EU member state, SWIM cannot utilize the US websites and/or have medication shipped here-- German customs has intercepted many of SWIM's roommate's perscriptions in the past...and SWIM visiting a doctour and obtaining a perscription is out of the question right now.

Can SWIM purchase adderall through EU pharmacy websites??

cannot really answer your question, adderall or amphetamines are rarely sold on online pharmacy websites AFASK. You mention buying adderall Over The Counter in the United States which seems rather odd.
My advice to you would be to check if adderall or amphetamines are part of the German medical codex nowadays. Amphetamines and amphetamine like preparations are no longer prescribed in a few european countries such as France for instance, which banned them from medecine in the 1980's.
You might also want to look into german ADD ADHD support groups to see what they do about their condition.
I believe French ADD ADHD patients can have access to ritalin, but this is very rare, and heavily controled for instance.

Adderall is legal in Germany as a perscription. In fact, Shire is based in the UK and has operations all over the EU (including Germany). If you had a perscription for it I don't see why you couldn't just go to a doctor.

This an old thread, but I'm curious if the poster made progress.

swim moved and lived in Germany 2000-04. He was on a script for adderall. It was a major hassle. He even had a psychologist there that was American and did believe in ADD, and she had no luck with her contacts.

Swim was successful in having them mailed to him but it was only a few months because it became a hassle. Maybe things have chainged.

Swim & friend eventually determine ritalin was approved for use by Germany. A big compromise because I had less responce and headaches.

Most german doctors and pharmacists reacted with almost a controlled tutonic look of shock that I was needing this medicine.

If need be find some English or American contacts and start pestering them with doctor reccomendations..You should at least be able to get a script for ritalin.

I'm sure this has been covered before. Shire is indeed a British company. However Adderall is not licensed for use in Britain - one of it's constituents, dexamfetamine is though, for narcolepsy only. Adderall could possibly be obtained off-license from a specialist or gp with a special interest, or possibly if coming to Britain with a standing prescription or legitimate & verifiable documentation from one's Stateside doctor.
