No Effect from Mushrooms (Mushrooms and SSRI's [Paroxetine])
This is my first post, so I appologize in advance if there is already an answer to my problem in this forum already.
SWIM has heard many things about shrooms in relation to it's effects. But while going into the new experience with an open mind, SWIM was left with nothing [amount unknown]. Shrooms were eaten with a frequent user who was feeling wonderful. And SWIM felt absolutly nothing. After about two months, SWIM had the opportunity to try again this time approx. 3 grams. And once again was left feeling stone sober. What could this be contributed to? Is it all mental?

Is SWIY taking any psychotropic meds? SSRI's reduce (and sometimes nullify) the effects of shrooms (and LSD and MDMA).

3 grams is more than enough. Which is why swim thought it was bunk. Swim does not know what swiy means by mental. If swiy takes that many shrooms, no matter what is going on in the head, swiy should be tripping balls.

SWIM is perscribed to paroxetine, but is not taking it daily [also doesn't affect SWIM's MDMA effects]. Others eating the shrooms with SWIM had very clear, apperant signs that they were tripping off the same batch.

The paroxetine (Paxil) is the reason SWIM felt virtually nothing. As an SSRI, it effectively blocks the magic from happening on a brain-chemistry level. This effect takes upwards of 6 months to clear after cessation of use. Case closed.
