Storing - Does packing into rocks make a difference in size?

SWIM is aware that the size of 8balls have already been discussed, but SWIM wanted to know if she had been conned. When SWIM bought what her dealer claimed to be an 8ball, it was a compacted rock that filled up no more of a plastic corner than a gram of regular crushed coke did. He reasoned that the consistancy and specific type of product is the reason for it's seemingly small size, and that once crushed, would break away into a large amount of powder. Is this even possible? Does packing seriously make a difference? If SWIM was indeed misled, what should she say to confront him?

swim got an 8-ball yesterday and it was just one rock about the sizxe of a quarter. it has been breaking up into a lot of powder. swiy shouldnt really worry. but, just to make sure, swiy should invest in a digital pocket scale. only about twenty bucks. and if you get ripped off just once even a little bit, it paid itself off.

There may be more bicarb in the rock, comparing to coke is off as crack is essentially coke turned freebased using sodium bicarbonate. Also unless source is known it is impossible to know if the coke is cut with anything itself making up for it. if thats makes anysense.
